A friend told me about this since she has a husky too. This is fantastic. I'm not sure how it gets the hair off when inserted into the holder/container but it does. I had a cat before -- but not a long-haired one -- and WOW! My new little guy has a lot of fur! And it is EVERYWHERE. This brush works better than anything else I've found to get it all off of my clothes so I don't look like a crazy person. It is simple to use and gets the job done. 5 stars!

    • Gets the Job Done
I have a German Shepherd in Texas... you can imagine the insane amount of hair everywhere. I've even found it in my luggage when I travel out of country. It sneaks in EVERYWHERE, so having several hair removers is a must. I love that this is reusable and isn't frustrating like the tape rollers. It isn't perfect, but it does a pretty darn good job. The inside sticks onto all the fur that has come off the clothing and is very easy to empty out of the bottom. Definitely would recommend to all pet owners! ... show more

    • It works well on dog hair
So far I really like it. We have Aussies and have the sticky lint rollers but it takes sooo many sheets to clear a jacket or shirt of dog hair and it’s hard to find the ends of the sticky paper. This catches the hair then pulls it off in the receptacle. Easy.

Great design, love how it "self cleans" but overall the pads don't stand up all that well. I haven't had it for all that long, maybe less than two months, and have to use it quite frequently, but the pads and their efficacy have quickly dropped off and can now only be described as limp. The bristles started off very stiff and with a few swipes my scrubs were cat hair free, now I have to go over them several times to get less than half of what they were first able to pick up. ... show more

    • GREAT fur-lifting brush, and the cleaner/case is not just a gimmick!
I had this style of brush a few years ago made by another company, and it worked great for lifting pet fur from fabrics. But after the dog ate it, I settled for using duct tape or those "peel-off tape" roller brushes. Neither of those worked as well as this style brush had for pet fur; it seems that a sticky surface picks up dust and such well if it's on top of the fabric, but it doesn't "catch" onto fur to pull it up when it's trying to blend in with the fabric--as fur often does. So when I decided to finally replace my favorite style brush, I chose this OXO for two reasons: all my OXO products have been good quality and have felt GREAT in my hands, and I thought that the case might protect the brush from my dog until I can rescue it if he finds it! Well, the brush works even better than I'd remembered this style working. It feels good and works WELL in either hand--unlike one-sided brushes; you just flip the brush to the other side if the direction of the arrow isn't the direction in which you want to brush with a particular hand. And the case/cleaner exceeded my expectations! Not only does it protect the brush, it REALLY cleans it well with a quick pump in and out a few times. You simply pop off the bottom of the case to take out the fur when it's filled; but you don't have to do that often, because it hold A LOT. And the case acts as a stand, so it sits neatly on a shelf or dresser and looks nice between uses. We have a 70 lb., fuzzy dog and two cats, and the the brush gets most of their fur off furniture, textured comforters, and clothes quickly. Some of their stiffer hair sometimes gets pushed deeper into fabric--if it's already started weaving itself inside; but that has only been a few hairs out of thousands for us, and I've been able to pick those out with my fingers. But if you have a short-haired dog with very stiff fur, you might have more hair-weaving issues than we have. The OXO works better for lifting fur off fabric than our name-brand vacuum, too.     • Do you have a hairy beast?
I have a Norwegian Forest Cat with tons of fur that is looooong. This wand picks up hair everywhere. I use it daily on my furniture, bedspreads, rugs, cushions etc. It works so good! You swipe in the direction of the arrows and then when the wand gets furry, dunk it back into the cover and the cover removes the hair as you remove the wand outward again. Then you can remove the plastic cap at one end of the holder and pull out the huge plug of fur inside, straight into the garbage. I would be losing my mind without this. I have two but I probably could use four. Worth the money, definitely. ... show more
