  • Fantastic tannin remover!!
I had no idea what tins were, I actually thought it was bugs that laid eggs inside my headboard lol. I had to set them aside for a while until I had a chance to work on them and since I’m the only one that works on anything here or anything here, my little hobbies as they were called, would fall by the wayside. Finally, I said I’ve gotta finish this. I can’t do this anymore in my room! And when I went to get the footboard, and when I noticed all those black flecks in it! I’m like what the heck, and then as I researched it online I learned. I tried a few different things that people suggested. I just wasn’t too keen on paying $26-$36 for a little bottle of supposed tannin remover! I had been trying to get them out of my wood. I knew how hard they were going to be to remove. I am so glad I came across this because it works like none other! First i bought a smaller bag and thought that would be enough to do. Plus, I wanted to check them out. It wasn’t enough. I’m so glad I went ahead and ordered the bigger bag next because I applied a second treatment, I had a lot of tannins. But it’s clear now, it’s beautiful, ready to be mended-because of the cracks my fault again, and sanded down and stained. Finally, something for me! I totally recommend this product because the others I tried took twice as long, were back breaking and ended up not really working. This was fantastic! ... show more

  • Can't maintain my boat without it!
High quality crystals of Oxalic acid superb for various strength solutions to remove iron and rust stains in fiberglass, teak and other woods. Very effective as an additive for early season wash down of boat and woodwork prior to assessing need to recoat wood finishes etc. Suggest if you are not familiar with Oxalice that you experiment with small amounts at various dilutions to see the minimum strength necessary to achieve what you want. Oxalic is the primary ingredient in most expensive marine "Teak Cleaners" dont ya know....and is particularly good at removing greying from places where a finish had failed and allowed weathering to start. Also helpful in blending color in nearly any wood prior to refinishing. ... show more

  • This Stuff is Almost Literally The Bomb
Do not believe the guy in the video who keeps running his hands through the solution demonstrating how safe and worry free the solution is. In my experience, although the results are fantastic, this stuff is brutal! It does what it says, but if you mix a saturated solution, wear complete protective equipment when mixing, using, AND removing it - long sleeves, safety glasses, and a cartridge respirator. This product will form small crystals when it dries. Protective equipment should be worn even when dealing with the crystals. The product should be neutralized in stages, starting with a weaker acid to raise the pH incrementally, working up to water, and ending with a weakish base like baking soda. If you skip the intermediate steps and jump straight to baking soda, expect a pretty volatile reaction, and probably some damage to your project. ... show more

  • Dishwasher cleaner
This was recommended to me by an appliance repairman. My mom’s dishwasher filter had not been cleaned since it was purchased 15+ years ago. Back then it wasn’t something that homeowners were told to do. As a result my mom’s dishwasher had a strong, negative odor and I had to do research. Bottom line I talked to an appliance repairman with 40+ years experience. He recommended Oxalic acid 1 tablespoon on the high temperature setting and air dry with the door open. He said it should be clean with one use. I had to run the Oxalic acid twice through the dishwasher. (And that is after I did major research and found the filter and wiped down as much of the black mold as possible). After utilizing the Oxalic acid twice I ran the dishwasher through again with nothing. Lesson I passed into my mom-do not use pods or liquids in your dishwasher. Only use powder. ... show more

  • Controls mites better than anything I have used in my 35 years of beekeeping
Best mite control I have ever used. Easy to use and very inexpensive compared to other methods. Only limitation is that it must be used once a week for three weeks for effective mite control. That is because of the mite life cycle though, and has nothing to do with how this product works.

  • Great for Bleaching Teak After Cleaning
Use Star Brite Premium Teak Cleaner first. Let Dry Overnight. Mix I) cup Oxalic Acid with 1) quart warm water. Wear rubber gloves. I add a little Dawn dishwashing soap for additional cleaning power. Use medium or stiff nylon or natural bristle brush. Brush along wood grain. Scrub well along grain only (not across grain). Rinse acid off wood with water hose (cold water rinsing) until acid solution is totally removed. Let Dry Overnight. After drying you'll find color change is much lighter. Apply Teak Oil to the dried bleached wood for beautiful, dramatic results. ... show more

  • Great Results for Varroa Mite Treatment
Purchased to treat my honeybees for varroa mites using a vaporizing wand. So thankful that this is working so nicely! My mite counts were so high and I was getting nowhere with a different product. It was too hot to treat with formic acid, so this was just the thing to get those numbers back in check. I put the wand in the hive for 7 minutes to vaporize the entire dose, then let it cool for 7 minutes before removing. Seems that be working very well. Brood pattern looks much better after 4 treatments. Mite counts are down significantly. Calm bees. No aggitation from this treatment like I definitely saw with other types of treatment. ... show more
