    • Great oval tub at a great price!
This is the first portable tub I've ever purchased. It was pretty easy to assemble, even without instructions included. Once assembled, it felt sturdy. I know it is intended for ice baths, but that's not really my schtick. I am using it as a warm soak. It was easy to keep warm with some simple aquarium heater sticks. Once filled, I didn't see any leaking. The outlet is pretty short, so an extender hose is recommended. I really appreciate that this particular tub is a longer oblong shape versus circular. It just feels like it would be more comfortable and spacious than a circular one would. As others have mentioned, this unit does not come with a cover. The vendor does offer a very reasonably priced one though, so I bought it. The little plastic pillow is a nice inclusion, but I don't really use it. Overall, I think this is a great item at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend! ... show more

The ice bath is bigger than other ones for a bigger amount of space. It can even fit 2 people in at the same time if you try hard enough. Set up is simple and while it does take some time to fill up if you use the proper chemicals you can use the same water for multiple uses. Recommended

    • Long ice bath tub, sturdy and durable, no instructions and the 'expanding drain tube' is very bad
On the whole this is quite a decent ice bath. It's sturdy, durable, long enough for tall people like me with lots of muscle mass, and it's got both plastic and metal 'ribs' that hold it up when it's filled. Overall it's quite good and easy to fill and empty out thanks to the little valve on the side, plus it technically has a tube that you could use to direct the water elsewhere instead of draining it right onto the ground next to it. It can keep ice water cold for quite a while, and it's short enough to step into easily even if you're not a tall person. With that said, I do have two reasons for reducing its rating to 4 stars. First of all, it came with no instructions, so I had to guess and fiddle with it to figure out how to put it together myself. This also limits how in depth I can review it, unfortunately. The 'expanding drain hose' is a short, 3 foot long expanding thing made of the very cheap kind of plastic you'd expect from something disposable, and I frankly don't expect it to hold up to much or for long. The 'pillow' is very cheap and practically disposable but I suppose it does technically work. There's also no pump included so you'll have to blow the tubes up with your mouth which is particularly awkward for the 'pillow'. The tube on the top of the bath doesn't leak, and when the bath is filled with water there hasn't been any leaks from it. I left it filled with ice water for a long while and obviously the ice eventually melts, but the tub will stay cold for at least a few hours depending on how cold the outside air is. For the price, this is a good deal for an ice bath like this, and it's made well. But there may be better options if you look at some other listings. * I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis. * I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. * I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product. * I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable. * If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them. * And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected. ... show more

    • Works for warmer water too. I'm hoping it will even work for boat motor tests.
This is a heavy duty vinyl bathtub and while some of the photos are a little photoshopped (you aren't getting two people in here unless they are VERY friendly and possibly also contortionists) it actually does measure up to the drawn figures and provides room for legs. I got this for warm water rather than ice baths (I'm going to pass on self torture, thanks) and with a heater it does a great job. It assembles quickly with PVC reinforcements. I'm also hoping to use it as a tank for test running my outboard motor. It comes up high enough to cover the water intakes and in some cases I need something more than the hose. Big tanks are super-expensive for some reason and this would be a great low cost approach. I won't be putting the motor in gear of course. Guess I'll see how that works out in Spring. ... show more

Okay, I was pretty skeptical when the box came in bc I couldn't fathom this tub being big enough! I was already skeptical from just the pictures alone but I've always wanted one of these so I figured it couldn't hurt to try it out! First off, the size. It truly is big enough for your standard human being. It's deep. Second, putting it together was kind of a hassle in that I didn't get any instructions with mine. Luckily, my husband and I have plenty of experience putting things together so we were able to get this assembled after figuring out the pieces. 3rd, it's sturdy! Like, it can hold me up as I'm trying to get out of the tub which I was also a little skeptical of. 4th, so far no leaks after having this for several weeks now! I have gotten in first thing in the morning and tried the whole cold plunge in the morning and let me tell you what!! It will really wake you up! So far, I'm impressed by this little tub and so happy I got to try it out! Would recommend! ... show more

Easy to set up and take apart. Great size and got a filter to go on side of it. I live in texas and plan on testing the heat retention as well on this for a small soaking tub in heat.

Love this tub. The frame is sturdy and allows you to fold the whole thing without taking apart, if you need to store it flat. It lets me lay out, and I’m not squished, like in the round ones I’ve had before. The hoses in the photo are mine - I’ve got it attached to an aquarium chiller. I love that the frame is so sturdy, and seem to stay together. I’ve used it to balance and pull myself out of the tub multiple times now, and it has held up to that. I’ve popped one of the rim pieces out several times now, learning back, but I’ll probably just take that one out and glue it back in. Regardless, it’s not hare to pop back in. Great size (I’m 5’7”), wonderful sturdiness, thick material. I love it. Oh, and I bought the cover they sell for this separately. Worth it. ... show more
