I love this tumbler! It was fairly easy to put together, but you need one other person to hold a certain piece in place briefly when finishing up the assembly. It feels well made and sturdy. It’s big, but not too big, so it doesn’t look obnoxious in my backyard. It’s easy to spin and doesn’t seem to leak. I like that you continue filling in one side, and when it gets full, it continues to compost, and you have another side to start over! Fruit flies do breed because of the tiny air holes, but no flies ever get in. I read fruit flies help in the composting process, so I don’t mind, but I suggest you step back a bit when you open it because the fruit flies fly out to meet you! Might not be ideal for the bug squeamish LOL! Great price too!

Arrived well packaged with all pieces, plus a few extra screws/nuts, and a serviceable set of assembly instructions. Not great instructions, but enough to get you started and you'll figure out the finer details. Overall, this tumbler went together well, seems solid enough, and I'm sure will work as intended. Be advised of three things: First, in addition to the included Phillips-head screwdriver, you will also need a wrench or pair of pliers when installing the two nylon locknuts that hold the central shaft to the metal frame. Second, installation is a four-handed job, so you should really have two people. You can succeed solo - I did - but much frustration and obscenity will ensue. Third, the instructions read that "the divider [between the two compost chambers] does not need to fit perfectly as it does not seal up each half. It just needs to stay in the middle." It's a good thing it doesn't need to fit perfectly, because it doesn't even come close to fitting. There are grooves it slides into that help keep it positioned in the middle of the drum, but the plastic divider is just not the right shape to fit into them completely. It is an octagon that sorta matches the dimensions of the octagonal drum, but not really. This is frustrating as I see no need for it - there are no other parts requiring clearance, for instance, and installation would not be any more difficult if it in fact fit the grooves. The part just wasn't cast to the right size and shape, and these sellers seem to know it. Which is odd, because everything else fits together very well. But I suspect that the instructions are correct and the utility of the composter will not be much impacted.

during the hot summer months it turns vegetable cutting into rick black dirt in just a month. the doors keep flies and odors down. The wife was turning over a pile in the garden for the last couple years and this reclaims that part of the garden (but uses a little room next to the garage). It went together in 20 minutes but a month later i took it apart again to take the center divider out. It does leak just a little garbage juice so do not keep it on a surface you do not want to clean. Depending on how full it can get tough to rotate and you might get your hands dirty. At half full you need to pull pretty good to get stuff inside to start moving or it will just swing back to where it was. We have been rotating 90 degrees every 2-3 days and with a thermometer in it keeping it at 90F-100F. It looked cheap to me on the page but using it in person makes me feel it was a good purchase. more so that we can fill a few pots with dirt from it instead of buying bags from the store.

Bought a year ago, and it was working OK until the screws recently pulled through the plastic - now falling apart. Not well-made with normal use. The bin opening is a little on the small side, so it’s difficult to pour food scraps in without some falling on the ground. Also, it takes moderate strength to spin when it is full.

I love this compost tumbler. It’s just the right size for what my husband and I use. The only thing I’m not crazy about is that the door to put waste in is small so I usually get stuff around the opening. But it’s very easy to turn and I give it a couple of spins every single time. I’m not using the sides separately.

Not the easiest to put together alone. A few screws were threaded poorly and unusable but there were many extras like they anticipated that. Good or bad choice supplying extra knowing inferior parts were included... Your call. Very strong and no issues with completed product. I have the first chamber half full and spins smoothly. Very easy to use and maintain. Not really any odors, already have that strong earthy smell. Would recommend.
