I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to assemble. No tools are needed, and a hex tightener was included, as well as a couple of spare screws and heads. I am an older woman and I am sure I could have done this alone if needed. It feels quite sturdy to sit in; there is some give of course, due to the materials. This is a good looking addition to the yard, and the price cannot be beat. Everything made of steel, powder-coated or not, will show rust someday, so I gave this a little extra protection at the joints with some black satin Rustoleum.

I like it, easy to put together, stable, but rusts instantly. I buried it into the lawn a little bit for extra weight because i feel in a crazy windstorm it could blow over, but don't know for fact. Having read other reviews, I opted to paint it with rustoleum shiny black - preemptively - because once my roses/clematis are growing around it I knew I wouldnt be able to paint it. As others mentioned, the parts I missed [deeper into the connections] you can see the brown rust seeping out. Overall, with a little extra effort, its a worthwhile product, just get a chair cushion if you intend to sit on it, or your butt will hurt.

It was fairly easy to assemble. We added a cushion for a pop of color and are using it as a trellis for our grapevine. Very happy we purchased it.

Where to even start……OK so I will say the end result was pretty decent. The bench served its purpose. Do I think this is a well-made durable long lasting bench? no. The bottom line is the pieces are not welded correctly. We really had to get in there and manhandle them. A lot of the pieces didn’t lineup. Overall, the top portion of the bench was a nightmare to put together. That being said, it looked pretty at the end, and that it is still a reasonably priced garden bench. Update I contacted the seller and told them I would like the top bar replaced they offered me a 35$ refund or a replacement. I chose the replacement and let me tell you the second one was just as bad if not worse! In the end I pieced the best pieces from the two sets together and ended up with a semi sturdy bench
