This little camping cookware set is really all you need to prepare a decent meal. It’s not made for more than a family of four but that was fine with me. It cleans up easy and cooks the food really well. Very handy to have when hiking or camping.

I have been camping with the Scouts for quite a few years now, and I can say that I prefer the alcohol stoves over any compressed gas. I don't even like to trek out with cans of soda, never mind flammable stuff. This kit is a great companion if you are "car camping". This is a camping trip where you don't necessarily need to worry about the size of stuff. Maybe if you have a really large backpack and you have the room, this kit is at least very light weight. One of the cooler parts of this design is that the flame is well protected from the wind. A huge plus when trying to boil some water on a windy day. The burner part of this setup is the same as some of the other alcohol burning camp stoves. As for the value, they are asking $52 with a 25% off coupon. It is a reasonable value. If you need a setup of this size, it is a very nice kit. Cat included in picture for scale. And because she is a very cute cat.

These are definitely lightweight pans, but they are a bit fragile. We took them on our last camping trip and the outer pan was dented when it fell from the trunk pulling things out. The metal is thin enough I was able to bend it back into shape and push the dent out without a problem. Just something to keep in mind if you are rough with your gear. Cook wise, they don't hold heat at all which can be good. Put over a stove or coals to cook, and control the heat easily. I didn't have many sticking problems when used with a fat like butter or bacon grease, so for cooking they will do the job well.

This mess kit has everything you need to prep and serve up a hot meal while backpacking or camping. You can cook all sorts of things with this setup. It's a great compact size, everything all fits together nicely for storage. I have used alcohol stoves before and find them nice to cook on so I had no problem figuring this one out(it doesn't include instructions) I suggest watching a few videos if you have never used one before. The material is lightweight but on the thinner side so I don't know how long it will hold up.

The media could not be loaded. As it says, I bought mine. Wasn't given it free thru vine, so this is an HONEST review. First, let me start by saying that it says it is gas AND alcohol. Incorrect. It is alcohol only. My Alocs CW-C05 and my Trangia 25 both are gas and alcohol. Secondly, the alcohol burner is NOT the same as others. In fact, my Alocs, Redcamp, Trangia, and Esbit burners are all MUCH higher quality. This one leaks like crazy!! I have to empty it and keep it in a Ziploc baggie to keep alcohol from leaking onto everything. Third, the "skillet" only sets onto the stove by catching both handle tabs on the edge, which means you have to center food in it or else it can tip. The wire stand arms are far too wide for the skillet to sit on. Fourth, the pot grabber is cheap as can be, and the hinge pin was falling out from the factory. I ended up having to flare the rivet myself to get it to stay together. Fifth, the tea pot lid barely just rests on top, so don't try to pour water unless you hold the lid to the kettle. That being said, for the price, I would highly suggest just getting a Trangia or Alocs kit. They are much better quality, and both pack smaller than this does.

I love to camp and spend time outdoors whenever I can. I would usually end up bringing pans & pots from home, which is not ideal and bulky. I found this set online and boy am I glad. It all goes together in a very small package, however, you’ve got a number of different items to use to suit your cooking needs. It comes with a pot, pan, kettle, and setup for an alcohol burner. It’s small enough to fit in your go bag or backpack and it’s relatively light weight. The materials used feel sturdy and are food grade, according to the manufacturer. For the price it’s truly hard to beat. Give it a try!

Overall it's a pretty decent cook set. Works as designed and pretty simplistic. Was hoping to use it more this Summer but ony got out a couple times to camp. My main use for this is to keep in a bug out bag for a just in case scenario where we have to leave our home. Floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and fires are known events that occur from time to time. It's best to be prepared and be able to bug out in a moments notice. So far the only thing we have used it for is to boil water for our freez dried meals we take on our weekend camping trips. The overall construction is decent, but it's not high quality. For the current price of $29.99 I think it's on par with other cookware sets similar to this. It is a small set so if you have a family to feed, this may not be the best cookware set for you. But for one or two people is sufficient.
