I've been through a lot of backpacks so I can be critical of my review of them - this daypack is a great contender! If you're looking for a decent daypack (not multi-day) backpack, this is a great option. The material is what you would expect of most backpacks, which is pretty good. There were no loose threads anywhere and the stitching looked solid. I like the shoulder straps because unlike most where the padded portion is connected directly to the rest of the pack, it's instead connected via adjustable web belts. This allows a lot of freedom of movement and puts less stress on the entire system. Speaking of shoulder straps, I'm 6'5", 290lbs and this pack fits me very comfortably! On to the pockets: It has one main large compartment with dual zippers, one front pocket tucked away into a seam with a zipper, and another zippered pocket in the lower back area. It features two water bottle holders. About the bottle holders, I would probably prefer to use this with a Camelbak system. While it isn't immediately designed for Camelbak, you still could, as inside the main compartment there is a pocket lining that it would easily fit into, and you could simply close the zippers to either side of the water tube, then affix the tube to one of the shoulder straps with a rubber band or the like. But if not, the bottle holders on both sides are large enough to fit two 1L(32oz) Nalgene bottles. The hidden lower-back compartment is nice to hide your wallet, maps, or anything you could fit in there. The front compartment is also a bit hidden because it's not visible when looking at the pack head-on, but you can see the paracord attached to the zipper pull in the first photo. This area is also nice for smaller items. The way I'm using mine is to carry a bottle of water, a two-way radio for emergencies, my mirrorless camera with some accessories, an electronics bag, some snacks, and a foldable rain poncho. I would NOT recommend this backpack for school, regardless of age. This is a useful daypack for a nice hike and to carry some essentials you'd need for an excursion. If you're going on a multi-day hike, then you'll need something larger to carry all your gear. ... show more

I am reviewing: OutdoorMaster Hiking Daypack, Adjustable Single And Double Shoulder Backpacks, Lightweight Sling Bag, Crossbody Shoulder Chest Urban Outdoor Travel Backpack This backpack, upon inspection, appears to be lightweight in both materials and in actual weight. The seams all look good The two size pockets are double mesh with a strong elastic around the tops and expansion tucks at the bottom. The back of the pack has three padded mesh sections. There is a zippered pocket that starts about midway and extends to the bottom behind the mesh pad. The zippers appear to be metal, which for me is a negative since they tend to freeze up in corrosive atmospheric conditions. I live near a beach so this is a concern. The two removable backpack straps have nice padding. You can remove one to make this a sling pack, or you can remove both and just carry the pack from the top loop. When using it as a backpack, it seems a little lightweight, so it needs to be packed heavy to fit right. The top connections aim straight down, but when the pack is on your back, it would be better if they were slanted outward for more comfort. The adjustment straps at the bottom are very long and there is no attachment or anyplace for them to tuck in, so they just flap in the wind. There is no cross body strap, which is really a big deal when wearing this as a backpack. The front of the backpack is a nice canvas material with two mesh stripes sewn on that might be used for attaching something, not sure what. There is a zipper hidden along one side that has a nice roomy pocket. Inside of the pocket, and the bag interior, the material used seems to me to be a bit brittle. Remembering using a similar material in the past that split very quickly, I'm wary that this will do the same, but for now, it has not happened. I will update this review if there are any changes. The main interior pocket has zippers that open far enough to make it very easy to load and unload. There is a large pocket that begins a few inches from the top with elastic closure, and extends to the bottom of the bag. At the top front of the inside, there is a small zipper pocket that would fit a glasses case or things around that size. It also has a key keeper. Then below that is another elastic top pocket that is roomy as well. The main interior is then wide open. I'm giving this four stars for utility, but there are some design flaws that make this less than a 5 star bag, and the durability will remain to be seen. ... show more

This backpack is made from soft and breathable mesh to keep your back cool and dry, and canvas on the exterior facing side. It has 2 adjustable shoulder straps. There are 2 pockets (which appears to be for water bottles, but you can store small items such as an umbrella, tissues or hand sanitizer) in the front on either side measuring 4 inches long by 6 inches high. They surround a very well-hidden zippered pocket in the middle (which I almost did not notice, until I seen a thin piece of paracord) that measures 5 inches long by 6 inches high (for easy access to phone or keys for example). There is also a zippered pocket in the back of the backpack which measures 7 inches long by 6.5 inches high that is sewn into the mesh using a thin material that appears to be nylon. After unzipping the backpack, there is a zippered pocket on the flap measuring 6.5 inches long by 3 inches high. Underneath that is a pouch measuring 7.5 inches long and 7 inches high. On the other side, is another pouch measuring 8 inches long by 12 inches high. This is a lightweight day pack for an outing to the park or a quick hike, but it is not sturdy enough to hold large or heavy textbooks, for example.
