This down feather comforter seems pretty nice. It has a nice weight to it. It's heavy when i hold it up, but feels cool to the touch, but I feel like it will keep you warm enough. This comforter came with a card explaining how to care for it. The instructions recommended dry cleaning, but I can't afford that, so I put it in my washer on delicate cycle. It came out fine. But it did start smelling a bit like wet dead bird,lol. I've got it on delicate in the dryer as im typing this. It seems to be holding up just fine. I'll let it air out over night before putting it on my bed. Hopefully when its completely dry the smell will go away. The comforter is a really good size, and the outside feels pretty smooth and soft. It has all the safety standard tags in place, and seems like decent quality. There's not a whole lot of fill in each pocket though. It seems there's more empty space than fill. Also little white feathers fly out every now and then when I shake it. I'll give an update after I've had a chance to sleep under it.

The down comforter is of excellent quality, and I'm particularly impressed with the high down content, which reaches 55% down, complemented by 45% feather. Although I've closely inspected it, I couldn't find any quills or hard feather shafts. The distribution of the down is quite even, resulting in a luxuriously fluffy feel throughout the comforter. The comforter fabric is a blend of organic cotton, boasting a high thread count. So far, I haven't noticed any feathers poking through, which is a common issue with lower-quality down comforters. This suggests that the craftsmanship and stitching are of high quality. What I like the most is the complete absence of any unpleasant odors. I'm quite sensitive to smells, so having a down comforter that doesn't emit any odors is a big plus. Often, with new bedding items, there's a period of time where they need to air out, but this comforter was almost odorless right out of the package. One thing to note is that it arrives vacuum-sealed, which is a common shipping method for bedding. When I first open it, it may appear flat and compressed. To fluff it up, simply remove it from the vacuum-sealed packaging and let it sit out for two to three hours. Giving it a gentle shake or pat every so often will expedite the process. If you have the opportunity, placing it in direct sunlight for a while can help it regain its full fluffiness more quickly.

The comforter comes vacuum packed and fits into a surprisingly small box. Upon opening, you'll definitely need to give it some time (and possibly a tumble or two in the dryer) to recover the fluffiness. After two trips through the dryer, I had no down/feathers in the lint trap which definitely says something good about the cover. The product description calls the cover "cotton blend" - FYI it's 82% polyester and 18% cotton. The exterior cover is a bit noisy ... makes a little bit of crinkling noise when you move the comforter around. That's not a problem for me, but some people might object. The size is perfect for a king-sized bed. All of the seams are strong and intact. There were no dangling threads or loose areas. Some feather products have a bit of an odor to them and need to be aired out, but this had no smell at all straight out of the bag. It's medium weight so suitable for both warm and cool seasons. If you're not planning on using a cover, the medium grey shade of the cover is a good neutral and works well with other colors.

I ordered the charcoal color. The covering is 18% cotton, 82% polyester. It looks and feels a little slick. I would have preferred a 100% cotton covering for breathability, but I can say that the comforter arrived smelling clean and crisp. The comforter is sturdy, and the amount of feather fill is substantial. The edges are double-stitched, and the single-stitched squares look even and tight. It has the typical loops throughout for tying inside a duvet cover. After machine washing and drying, The poly blend dries quickly, but the feathers take longer to dry and tend to clump up. After a few cycles in the dryer, I just hung this on a chair to air dry for a day or so. I gave this a snuggle test, and it gets five stars for comfiness. It feels like being wrapped up in an uber-expensive goose down coat but more of it!
