I was looking for a way to measure my sleep and activity without having the discomfort of a smart watch on my wrist all night, taking into account that I already have an apple watch I wanted to follow my metrics and sometimes this one was a little sporty for more formal outings and this ring was the perfect solution. It's super light, you get used to the few hours. What I like the most is the precision with which it analyzes the rest; the application explains very clearly how your sleep influences the energy of the next day. The battery gives me perfectly for about 5 days and charges very quickly. A key point: I recommend using the size kit before ordering it, since the fingers swell a little at night, if you are indecisa between the tightest size and the one that fits you looser I recommend the tightest believe me this ring does not compare to the plastic of the kit and it will be perfect. It is very true to the size which surprised me my size corresponds to the same that I use for traditional rings. Although it requires a monthly subscription to see all the detailed data, I have met details specifically of my body that I didn't even know for me it has been totally worth it for the comfort and discretion it offers. Aesthetically it looks beautiful and goes with everything! I bought the silver because I usually use silver accessories and it has been the best decision, one thing that I don't like so much is that it scratches easily I am a full-time housewife and in household chores in less than a month I already had several scratches but they are not visible to the naked eye. I recommend it, I love it! 😁

I can honestly say the Oura Ring 5 exceeded my expectations. It’s one of those products that’s actually worth the hype. The design is beautiful and incredibly comfortable—I often forget I’m even wearing it. The battery life is excellent, the app is intuitive, and the insights go far beyond simple step counting. Sleep tracking has been incredibly detailed, and I love waking up to a complete picture of my recovery, readiness, heart rate, stress, and overall health. One feature that truly stands out is Pregnancy Insights. As someone using it throughout pregnancy, it’s been amazing to see how my body changes over time. Tracking trends like resting heart rate, body temperature, sleep quality, and recovery has given me a much better understanding of what my body is experiencing. Of course, it’s not a medical device, but it’s been an incredibly valuable wellness companion during this journey. I also appreciate how the recommendations feel personalized instead of generic. Oura completely knocked it out of the park with the Ring 5. I have been looking for comprehensive health tracking that doesn't feel obtrusive, and this miniaturized design is exactly what was needed. Here is why I highly recommend the size 8 Black model: Barely-There Comfort: They aren't kidding about it being the "world's smallest." At 40% slimmer than previous generations, it makes a massive difference in daily wear. I can actually wear it comfortably while weightlifting without it digging into my fingers or throwing off my grip. Incredible Durability: The black titanium finish is sleek, and the upgraded PVD coating is surprisingly tough. Despite heavy daily wear and regular gym sessions, it has held up flawlessly without picking up frustrating scratches. Pinpoint Accuracy: The new 12-pathway sensors are incredibly precise. Whether it is tracking my heart rate on the treadmill or breaking down my overnight sleep stages and daily stress levels, the data is consistent and genuinely useful for optimizing recovery. Love this ring. I had the gen4 and this one is smaller and so far the battery has lasted almost a week. I’ve had each generation and needed to change sizes 3 times so I got the gen5. The analytic.s are crazy and sleep data is off the charts useful. Seems just as strong and durable as the others and the fit is perfect. The only thing I don’t like is the “notch” isn’t like prior versions it’s a little rough spot that’s so hard to find. Other than that I’m loving it.

Update: still a good purchase and works well. However, if you are sensitive to light at night, it will wake you up lol. From time to time, red and green lights flash from the inside of the ring. It is bright at night. Especially if you happen to move your hand near your face, it’s like someone is pointing a flashlight at you. I bought this to track my sleep which was not great before, but now I have another thing disturbing my sleep. I still give it 5 stars because it is a good smart device, but that light is killing me. 😆 So far so good. I was worried that the shiny finish was going to be a magnet for scratches, but after a week of continuous use, it has held up very well. The features are fairly similar to my Apple Watch, but I only wear that while out. Having a longer battery life and being relatively comfortable to wear has allowed me to track things that I didn’t track before such as sleep. Also, the other morning I woke up feeling extra tired. When I looked at the app it said I was showing serious signs of strain and to rest. I felt exhausted all day so it was very accurate in sensing that something was off. It has taken some getting used to because I don’t wear much jewelry and I certainly do not wear any to sleep. I am very aware that it is on in the middle of the night and find myself switching it around. It really is not that much bigger than a regular band, but if you are not used to wearing rings, it might take some time to adjust.

As someone obsessed with health metrics (I have health anxiety!!!), I love the Oura Ring 5. I have wanted one since they first came out but as someone with small hands and skinny fingers, the big bulky previous generation Oura's were NOT for me. I love how thin the band is on the new Oura. See my attached picture for reference. It is comfortable to wear, and I'm saying that as someone who has never wanted to wear rings because they overstimulate me while driving, kayaking, etc. I like how you can wear it constantly although when I shower, I let it charge. I also take it off when I do my skincare because I don't want to cause unnessescary wear or buildup on the sensors. I do a lot of water activities in the summer with my kids so I'm grateful that it is water resistance for up to 100 meters (~330 feet). The app is a little overwhelming at first but you get used to it pretty quickly in my opinion. My only advice? SIZE UP! I bought the 6 at first because my ring size is 4.5 but it was too small on my index finger. I ended up returning and ordering the 7 and it fits perfect. I did not buy the sizing kit (oops!) but I recommend doing that and wearing it for a few days. :) All in all, a 10/10 purchase. I'll return to this review with a 6 month update on wearability, durability, etc.

Here’s a smoother, more natural version of your review: I’ve been really impressed with this ring overall. It’s extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear, even all day and overnight. The sleep tracking has been very accurate. I’ve used Apple Health for years, and since day one the ring has matched my usual sleep patterns almost perfectly. Compared to my Apple Watch, it’s usually only off by a few minutes, especially during the first week. Setting it up was incredibly fast and easy. Connecting it to my phone took only a few minutes, and syncing with both Apple Health and Strava was seamless. I also find it much more comfortable than the Oura Ring 4. I have small hands and fingers, so the Ring 5 fits me much better. As a healthcare worker who wears gloves constantly, it’s also much easier to use while working. The only real downside for me is the battery life. It doesn’t last a full week. Because I’m very active, I typically get about four days on a charge. I usually top it off while I’m showering, which helps. I also have one of the smallest ring sizes, so I think that contributes to the shorter battery life. From what I’ve read, the larger ring sizes tend to have better battery life. I chose the brushed silver finish because I wanted something that would hide scratches well, and for the most part it does. However, I accidentally scraped it against tile, and that scratch has remained, which is a little disappointing. Overall, I think it’s a great health and lifestyle tracker for everyday use. It does an excellent job tracking sleep and daily activity, and I enjoy having goals to work toward because they keep me motivated to stay healthy. I still use my Apple Watch for more intense fitness tracking, like running, but the ring has become a great companion for monitoring my overall health.
