Purchased this to help learn about my sleeping. The ring is comfortable to wear and shows some good health data. It integrates into the Apple Health app so all of my records can be viewed in one location. The battery life is lasting me about 6 days which is more than enough. The new app is easy to use. My one complaint/concern is the yearly fee for the app. Other than the sleeping data I don’t know if it provides me with any more/better data that my Apple Watch. As a previous user of another brand of fitness/health tracking wearable, I had no trouble adjusting to the Oura ring and wish I'd made the switch sooner. I like the fit and recommend ordering the size kit before purchasing. It holds a charge well, and the data is easy to navigate using the app. The ring is comfortable and durable. I haven't purchase a cover for it, but it hasn't scratched yet during barbell movements which was something I was concerned about. I most like the detailed sleep data the ring provides as well as monthly cycle tracking. If you enjoy walking or running, it also has a feature to track your route and distance. If you owned a generation 3 Oura Ring then your experience won't be much different in my opinion. Other reviewers have said the Gen 4 Ring is more comfortable to wear. That depends. Yes, the sensor bumps inside the old ring are now embedded in the new ring so that provides an added measure of comfort. And since I have really meaty fingers, the new size 15 ring is a much better fit than my previous size 13. That being said, the width and weight makes it no more comfortable to wear all day overall than the previous ring for me personally. I find myself adjusting it on my finger for better comfort several times a day after wearing it for hours. But not a deal breaker by any means. Battery life seems better in the new ring just as advertised. How much better is yet to be determined. I purchased the rose gold. It's stunning! But it scratches very, very easily. If scratches will bother you, I'd advise getting the matte silver or stealth, which I believe might hide any scratches more effectively. I'm much more impressed by the newly revised and reorganized app experience. The new update is awesome and makes the app so much more user friendly! Now if we could only get rid of the 6 dollar monthly subscription fee, everything would be almost perfect! ... show more

The Oura 4 ring is a great addition to getting information on not only my sleep patterns, but other physiological information. In my case, the ring is combined with my IOS smartphone and smartwatch. The app works well, and the yearly subscription price is a good value. So far, the ring has proven to be durable, accurate, and has not had any scratches or marred surfaces. I had high hopes for this product since I’m not a fan of wearing a smartwatch. The accompanying app is fantastic, though it's disappointing that a subscription is required. I particularly enjoyed the sleep insights and Oura score—they're well-designed and informative. However, I ran into an issue: I work in an office, and the ring consistently registered my typing as steps. While I understand it's likely due to detecting general movement, it added an extra 3,000 to 5,000 steps per day, which was noticeable when comparing it to my Apple Watch.
