  • I love it!
Style: Metallic Color: Silver Size: 8
I don't like wearing wrist watches, so having a smart ring is PERFECT for me! I love how durable it is, it's easy to clean, and the app that comes with it is GREAT! The tracking on this thing is flawless and it uses light sensors to track my vitals, so it doesn't even feel like a smart device, just a regular ring! It also charges very quickly, so if I'm using the bathroom or taking a shower at home, I just pop it on the charger for 10-15 minutes and it's good for a few days! I only do it daily just to establish a good routine, and I have forgotten before and let the battery get low, but still haven't had the power die on me yet! I can see it being an issue for lifting weights since it's coated in stainless still and a little bulky, but otherwise very comfortable for other forms of exercise! I can also see it being a problem because of the red and green light sensors at night, it might be disruptive to light sleepers in a dark room, but I just keep my hands under my blankets or pillows, and I sleep just fine! It doesn't light up all the time, just periodically throughout the night. If the tiny lights at night might bother you, you can probably put a thick sock or a glove over your hand at night to block the light. I'm personally not inconvenienced by it at night, and I like that I can't feel anything when it checks my vitals (heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature, just to name a few). I wound up subscribing to the app anually because I really liked how easy it was to set up and how thorough its analysis was for my overall health. UPDATE: Recently I noticed the ring was draining too fast between charges and I actually needed to charge it everyday! I reached out to customer service via the app, they asked a few questions, and shipped me another one immediately! It was refurbished, not brand new, but it works like new and I would never have known the difference if they didn't tell me! I keep the old one as a backup just in case since they said I don't need to send it back. I basically haven't stopped wearing the Oura ring since I put it on, and I've used it on long walks, swimming (fully submerged in water), and for general daily activities and it works great! I wash it with soap and water when I wash my hands and take it off to give it an.wxtra good wipe down before popping it on the charger or putting it back on! ... show more

  • Phenomenal Sleep Tracking Tool
Style: Metallic Color: Rose Gold Size: 9
I got this Oura ring for my wife for Christmas this past year and she loves it as well as the rose gold color. It's a very good way to take control of your sleep and improve sleep quality. The ring tracks your sleep down to the minute, is crazy accurate, and works with an app that, once installed, works offline and connects to the ring through Bluetooth. Every morning you can get a full breakdown on the app of your sleep pattern for the night including sleep stages (light, REM, deep), heart rate, heart rate variability, body temperature, respiratory rate, total sleep vs time in bed, your sleep efficiency, your "body clock" and even "sleep debt" (which tracks how much sleep you're getting vs how much you need for your body type). It also tracks the menstrual cycle for women, which my wife uses and likes a lot. She's been able to figure out a pattern based on her heart rate that happens the day before her period actually starts, which works every time - super cool! Of course it does other things like tracks your steps, exercise, you can log your meals etc. Too many things for me to include in this review. The ring fits my wife's finger perfectly. Before you buy you have to purchase the ring sizing kit, which is cheap, and you can use it for friends if you refer people (which you can get awarded for monetarily). The sizing is pretty easy, wear one of the sizers for a day and make sure it's comfortable and then order your ring. I've also seen the ring sizing kits on display in places like Costco or Best Buy, so that's another option without having to buy the kit. The battery lasts about a week, which is pretty good. And it charges in less than an hour, sometimes half an hour if she's charging it more regularly than a week (which your supposed to do). My own Oura Ring 4 is over a year old and I have to charge it every 2-3 days. I admit, I did not follow their recommendations for maintaining the best battery life, so can't complain there. Overall, Oura Ring is fantastic and I'd highly recommend it to anyone. My wife and I have both been able to improve our overall sleep quality since using them. They are a very good tool for that if you want to prioritize sleep in relation to health (which anyone should). ... show more

  • Amazing data collection… but a very steep price and short life. Amazing data collection… but a very steep price and short life.
Style: Metallic Color: M - Silver Size: 12
Note: This is a long term review, after owning the ring for 10 months. It disappoints me to have to give this a 1 star review, because when the ring works, it works. It’s very convenient, accurate, un-intrusive to wear, and gives you a ton of valuable data, especially related to your cardiovascular system. But, out of the blue about 10 months into my ownership, battery life has cratered, and even when it doesn’t run fully discharged, it has randomly started disconnecting, meaning it’s not harvesting the data that I expect and want it to, and even worse, without full days of data, it won’t build any trends, meaning the limited data it does collect is useless. Reading online it seems I am not the only person experiencing this disappointment. Oura’s customer service is non existent. I have yet to figure out how to get in contact with a human there. All their customer service is routed through “Finn” their AI assistant. After trying everything that “Finn” has recommended numerous times, and getting nowhere, it would be an understatement to say I am frustrated. One of “Finn’s” suggestions is to fully wipe the ring and app from your phone and reinstall it, and if that doesn’t work, the implication from the system is that it will then elevate it to a customer service rep. The issue with that is when you do that, a hard reset and reinstall, the record with “Finn” also seems to go with it, so the system will never engage a human, it comes across almost like it’s intentional firewall in their service. I am coming up on my 1 year membership renewal. I am at the point where I need to decide if I need to make the $72 annual investment again. I would gladly spend that again, but I’m not really looking at a $72 investment. Given my current ring performance, this means buying another ring. Between the membership and a new ring, with taxes, shipping, etc, etc, etc that’s a near $500 investment; and since it only made it 10 months, that really means it’s effectively closer to $600 a year. Battery powered wearables have a limited life; I went into this understanding that, but, I don’t think that after less than a year of usage, going from ~5 days of battery life and collecting non-stop data to less than 24 hours of life with random crashes is in any way acceptable. Apple or Garmin or Google would have mass recalls or replacements on their hands if their wearables behaved like this. Good health is priceless. The ring helped me tremendously in my fitness journey. I have lost over 65 lbs with its help. At this point, however, given I have hit and am maintaining my weight goal, and from my current experience as well as based on what I read from others online, I refuse to spend any more money with Oura, simply because of their poor customer service and poor product life. My final thoughts: the ring makes your fitness journey significantly easier. Data is king when you’re committed to self improvement. For that, I give it 5 stars; but if you buy one, understand that it most likely will not make it to a year without some sort of collection or battery issue. You have to decide for yourself if $500 for 10-ish months of data is a fair price to pay. ... show more

I absolutely love my Oura Ring. It has been amazing for tracking my cycle, sleep, and overall health. The insights are super helpful and easy to understand, and it really helped me stay in tune with my body. Because of how accurately it tracked my cycle and ovulation, I was able to better plan and understand my timing, and thanks to it I am now pregnant. That alone makes it worth everything to me. It is comfortable to wear, looks great, and the data it provides is genuinely useful. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about their body and health. ... show more

  • 1 Month Post Purchase Review 1 Month Post Purchase Review
Style: Metallic Color: Silver Size: 5
Overall, I love it. I’m gonna break down my review as to why I love it and based on what you’re looking for in a smart ring to determine if this is a good fit for you. First, appearance. It doesn’t look masculine and is fairly scratch resistant. With any jewelry, you’re going to have a little scratching on the underside if you do anything with your hands. There’s plenty of protection options if that’s something you want to look into, but honestly I’ve had minimal scratching and it doesn’t bother me. It fit closer to my actual ring size, but you need to get sized to figure out your actual size. Oura offers a $10 you can order, but I personally just went to Best Buy and got my size off the display there. I believe Target also has sizers in the Oura display. But you do need to get fitted to know if the sensors are at an optimal location for best readings. Next category is App Quality. I really like the app and the reliability of the data it provides. I am not a super intense workout person, so it is perfect for my low impact workouts. I’ve heard people say it doesn’t provide accurate HR readings in higher intensity workouts, I see some improvement for that as you can have it track live HR data. I know a lot of people complain about the subscription and I just want to clarify that because I looked at that myself. The annual subscription is $69.99, monthly is $5.99. You can use the tracker without a subscription, however it gives you very basic data feedback. It tracks the basics, but does not give you pointers for improvement or how to better your scores. With the subscription, you’re not only paying for the insights, but you’re also paying for the access to Oura Advisor, the AI integration that can give even further insights to the data you have logged in app and the feature to simply take a photo of a meal for meal logging. Women’s Health: I personally like it. I have used Apple Health for many many years so it’s my primary for reliability in start dates, but I like the detailed data with Oura. I think with further use of the Oura I might 100% convert to it but for now I can’t decide which I like better. Given my current medical, this is a fantastic tool for me. Tags has been the best way for me to tie symptoms to more probable causes rather than wondering and guessing or assuming. I was most drawn to that feature, but you have to remember to add the tags for it to be most effective. If simple tracking without a bulky smartwatch is more what you’re looking for, this will definitely do that for you but cheaper alternatives can do the same if you’re looking to save some money. If you have more complex medical and want the data insights to your health and be more in tune with your body, you want the Oura ring with a subscription. The good news is that you can actually use an FSA / HSA for both the ring and the subscription. Mine gave me almost no trouble as far as documentation when I purchased them. ... show more

  • Excellent device, poor battery longevity Excellent device, poor battery longevity
Style: Metallic Color: M - Silver Size: 13
I purchased a rind 1.5 years ago and have used it every day since. Here is what I love about it: 1) Great insight into your basic health metrics and the app is easy to understand and provides helpful reporting. 2) looks great and is much more comfortable to sleep with than a watch. 3) allows me to wear an analog watch and still track movement and steps, as well as all health functions. 4) great battery life for the fist year, 5) great build quality. I train with weights daily and regularly hike, backpack and even took it for a 3 week through hike of the VT Long Trail with no issues or damage to the ring. Neutral: 1) size is a bit much and can feel a bit big on my finger, I don't wear jewelry so that could be why, 2) I have to take it off to do pull-ups, deadlifts or anything where the ring compresses against the bar. Not just because the ring could get damaged but also because the pressure digs the ring into my finger and it can be painful or get in the way of my grip. 3) charging is a bit slow 4) fitness tracking even with my iphone connected for tracking my location and movement is fairly poor compared to my garmin GPS watch. This is probably to be expected but for those of you thinking about using this as your sole fitness tracking system I would think twice. Milage is consistently off (lower) then using my Garmin Enduro. Negatives: 1) Biggest issue: The battery life slowly dies. When I first got the ring I could go 5-6 days between charges, now at 1.5 years I'm charging it every other day. At $400 for the ring I would expect better battery longevity. 2) I didn't find much use for Symptom Radar. It tended to make me paranoid rather than providing useful data. Not once when it provided an alert did I get sick and it gave me a ton of false positives like when I came home after an overnight flight, had a few too many drinks, ate too much before bed, etc. I eventually turned it off and haven't missed it at all. Overall I still love my Oura ring and it would amazingly with my iPhone. After a year and a half of daily use (it only comes off to charge) the ring still looks great. ... show more

  • Sleek, Comfortable, and Absolutely Worth It!
Style: Metallic Color: Silver Size: 7
I’m honestly obsessed with my Oura Ring Gen 4 in silver. It’s sleek, lightweight, and fits comfortably without feeling bulky. I initially ordered a size 8, but it was too big, so I exchanged it for a size 7 and it fits perfectly. The durability seems great so far and it’s holding up really well with daily wear. It was very easy to set up, and the app made everything simple and straightforward. I’m right-handed, so I usually wear it on my left hand as recommended, but I can switch it to my right depending on what jewelry I’m wearing that day, which adds nice versatility. The tracking is impressive. My sleep insights feel accurate, and I’ve become more aware of how my rest impacts my energy and stress. Battery life is great, and it charges quickly, so I’m never without it for long. You do need the app and a small monthly membership, but overall it feels like a good value for the money. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Technology that is Functional and Elegant Technology that is Functional and Elegant
Style: Metallic Color: Brushed Silver Size: 12
Comestically, I like the brushed silver - it is stunning. I've had the black, black matte and the gold. I like the brushed silver by far - not as shiny as the regular silver, and the texture is classy, more masculine. Functionally, Oura it does as advertised and allows me to take my other devices off to track sleep, you don't even notice it's on your finger. The app provides a ton of information daily as well as seasonal and annual reports so you can see how you are tracking. Only pitfall is it may pick up washing dishes, taking a shower or vacuuming as an activity due to the consistent motion. You can delete if desired. Battery life is about 4-5 days with no charge. I choose to recharge when I'm in shower as I don't need metrics for that, so I never run out of battery. Worth the investment. ... show more
