I’m writing this review a year later after using the case. I bought back in March 2023 for my iPhone 13pro max and have only now today, April 2024 started to look for a new phone case. For me, a phone case to last a whole year is impressive. Ive dropped my phone so many times , stuffed money, pictures and cards on the back, sat on my phone, stepped on my phone, tossed it on the floor and this case held through. It did its job at protecting my phone. Just now did it start breaking apart a year later. Yes, the edges of the plastic will turn yellow over time because that is to be expected if you’re putting your phone in and out of your pockets or purses, but the actual hard plastic itself doesn’t turn yellow, so you still have a clear case! This case is very worth your money if you’re clumsy like me. Without this phone case, (paired with a glass screen protector) my phone would 100% be in shambles. I’ve dropped my phone so hard to the point it bumps my SIM card out of place leaving me with no internet, but my phone itself, looking brand new when I look at it. I’ve had this case for the last few phones, and it’s become my favorite go-to with every phone. You can show the color of your phone, but most importantly, it does protect well from scratches and falls. Every fall will be different , depending on what you’re doing and how you drop it. I have accidentally dropped my phone on the hardwood floors (with multiple bounces involved), and it also slipped from my bag and fell approximately 4 ft onto the garage concrete. There have been other small drops, though it protected every time. It doesn’t collect lint, has a nice grip/pleasant to hold onto, and maintains a snug fit to your device. I’m not sure why so many people give low stars and complain about the yellowing. It’s a clear case & it’s totally expected! Mine didn’t begin to yellow until the 6-8 month mark, and I wouldn’t consider it “yellow”, but rather slightly “off” colored on the sides compared to the top and bottom. I suppose it would depend on the average person’s hands, and what you put your phone through. Overall great case, and I love the texture/material so much more than its Otterbox Symmetry brothers and sisters (the colored variants of the symmetry series, which are a different material.). My life proof Next case had a protective cover over the charging port and little screens over the speakers. I thought the symmetry case would be similar without the colored band on the outside edge as I wanted a completely clear case. It turns out to be less protective as there are just three open holes over the charging port and the two speakers. There is also just an open hole over the mute button. I was originally disappointed about this when I took it out of the box, but after using it for a day, I like it, because it is slimmer than the next case, and slides into my pocket easier. I love this case! I always drop my phone (sorry dad) and it is such a pain when I get cracks and scratches but this thick case makes my phone feel so much more secure and sturdy. It is hard plastic and it is not slippery. The only thing is (and i’m sure everyone knew this when buying a 13 pro max) it makes your phone jumbo!! Personally I LOVE IT. But I can definitely tell a difference between those cheap thin cases and this one because I feel like it makes your phone seem bigger so if that’s an issue I would definitely take that into consideration. It is worth it spending a little extra cash on a good case now to avoid having to pay to fix it later. Investments!! Other than that I would 10/10 recommend!! 🫶 ... show more

NO PROTECTION, dirty quickly Firstly, I’d like to say that I have been using almost strictly Otterbox cases since my iPhone 4 in 2012. This is buy far the worst Otterbox case I have ever owned. The main reason being I dropped my phone (iPhone 13 pro max) from about waist high in my bathroom and the entire back cracked on the tile. Granted, I know tile is hard, but I’ve dropped my phone in the commuter case, and defender case with no breaks to my phone. Ever. The case I had before this one was a commuter and there were many drops I thought I for sure cracked my phone and nothing happened. I am disappointed, and I regret straying from my original case choices. Overall, I do know this is a one layer case, but I just don’t thing it’s worth the money.
