Otterbox has given me nothing but peace of mind! Peace of mind that my investment in my phone is well protected! I have always had the Defenders series for all my phones going all the way back to the Iphone 4 and will never buy any other case! They are pricey no doubt (nice discount here on Amazon) but I have happily payed full price in the past because what you get is a solid product figuratively and literally that also feels good in your hand! The Defenders series does add a some heft and weight so of you don’t like a heavy phone Defenders series may not be for you. I prefer that weight because in my daily quick paced life I have less chance of dropping it when on the go. Now I have dropped my phone many times but with the case and the screen protector I bought to go along with it. (SP not included with the case) my phone has come out unscathed every time! This is however my first time experiencing the Mag Safe version of the Defenders case. I was concerned that rubber on the sides and not covering the back would by a trade off in protection for the mag safe feature. Also This version of the Case does not include the holster that comes with the full Defender’s version that is without the mag safe compatibility. I was also concerned that the plastic shell would be flimsy like the plastic shell is for the full Defenders. The full case the rubber is where the true protection is over the shell so the plastic shell is not that strong. But this is where Otterbox’s genius comes into play! The Mag Safe case has a much sturdier plastic shell then its non mag safe counterpart which means Mag Safe version did not sacrifice protection for the sake of the Mag Safe feature! Mag Safe still has the weight and heft to it but is more streamlined and slim. This is still a case that won’t stop your heart the next time you drop your phone! One last note I previously mentioned that this case does not come with the holster that was cool because the holster is no more than $16 but and this is seriously why I love Otterbox the case came with documentation on how to get the holster for up to one year after purchase free of charge just pay for shipping! That was unexpected and a great way to show us the customer that we are valued as customers. Or at least that is what I take from it. All in all Otterbox redesigned their most rugged case without sacrificing protection and it is just as great as it has been for all my previous phones! I have been using it for almost two years now and it still tough as a nail. My phone is well protected even when I drop it accidentally from the table into solid concrete floor. Even the Camera at the back is protected, but I still put on a separate camera protector just to be on the safe side. Its not a cheap material. Its lasting and protects VERY well, better than any case I've ever had. Im not getting another case unless it’s this kind of case! Its comfortable (a bit heavy but that’s my preference!!!) amazing grip and honestly would recommend to anyone who works in hard jobs or just wants a thick case that feels good and makes your phone look bigger and stronger. Its a very modern (simple) design so it doesn’t distract you as much. Keeps you focused on what you are doing on your phone. Beautiful and well designed. Only thing is the installation (its not as easy as other case installations but once you get it done, you never need to take it off again! (Unless for some random reason). I like it keeps my charger port safe. Theres so much I can still say about it but overall it’s my favorite case! This is my third Otterbox case. over three phones. The Defender XT is a comfortable, protective case until the softer material started deteriorating after two years. I'd expect more from Otterbox. Brilliant design, not so great materials.

Extremely difficult to find high quality case with charge port cover and Mag Safe feature. As stated in other reviews, the case is more difficult than ususal to install. Getting the rim of the bottom cradle properly seated on the plastic top frame was tedious. I finally resorted to the tip of a letter opener to accelerate the process. On the other hand, this configuration appears more likely to protect my epensive pnone from damage related fine particles finding their way in and soiling the finish of the phone. as happened to my prior phone protected with the Otterbox Commuter series. The buttons sre well aligned. The raised borders around the periphery of the case and the camera lenses offer added protection without a significant increase in bulk ... show more

Love everything about the case the case is amazing for real. I’ve had to take it off and back on a couple times and it was very difficult and I was afraid that I was going to break the case or damage my phone in the process but overall this case is the best case I’ve ever had and it also has one of the only charger port cover protectors that I’ve seen in most cases I don’t know anything about any of the products that are supposed to be compatible with the MagSafe yet I haven’t yet to buy any of that, so I might edit or redo this review by then I’ve heard that the MagSafe itself is very weak. I don’t know yet we will have to see , I haven’t dropped my phone or anything yet but it’s because this phone is very grippy and it doesn’t slide and that’s some thing I love in it also uphold the aesthetics of the phone which is something that I really needed because why I buy a phone with a pretty color that I like, and not actually get to ever see it because of the case that’s where this phone case comes but all I believe that it is perfect ... show more
