  • good front suspension tool kit
Style: Front End Service Set
i wanted to try out the tie rod and ball joint removal tools in this kit to see how they compare to the pickle fork and hammer i've been using for 20+years. i was surprised at how good they worked on tie rods. i used them on light duty tierods on a jeep cherokee , they might not do as well on more heavy duty stuff but in this application i'll use them over a picklefork from now on ... show more

Style: Front End Service Set
I rebuild older trucks as a hobby. Used this on an F150 rebuilding the entire steering system. Didn't have to be so careful since everything was being replaced. But it will save the boots if you plan to reuse the same parts. Pitman arms don't like to come off anyway and I wasn't going to pound away with an impact gun to see which gave in first. I cut the sides of the arm right by the shaft and spread it a bit with an air chisel. Then it pops right off. Everything fits back in the case, another nice feature. If you do much front end work, even as a hobby, this will cut down on frustration time and you don't have to search for the perfect angle with your pickle fork and hammer... ... show more

  • 5 minutes to remove a tie rod
Style: Front End Service Set
You want to beat the crap out of your suspension with a pickle fork? I literally removed a tie rod in five minutes with no drama and no sweat with this kit. It felt a little lighter than i was expecting, so time will tell on the durability.
