On the recommendation of my doctor for arthritic knee pain, I started taking osteo bi-flex and have now taken it for years. I have found osteo bi-flex to be quietly effective by that I mean, you don’t realize how effective it is until you stop taking it. It gradually reduced my knee pain over time to the point I thought it had gone away on its own until I decided to stop taking the osteo at which point, the pain returned with a vengeance. I like this particular supplement because it is just one pill instead of 2-4 now granted that one pill is the size of two pills but I only have to swallow it once. If you have problems getting pills down, this may be too large to swallow in which case you can use the smaller multi pill supplements. There is no taste to osteo so it won’t cause a gag-reflex but, the one dose option is much larger than a normal pill. If you have mild to moderate joint discomfort I would definitely recommend trying osteo bi-flex before a prescription medication just make sure to give it enough time to notice a change.

I was skeptical of the Osteo Bi-Flex claims of benefits, particularly of the 7 day improvement , however, after using it for about a week, I can attest to the remarkable effects. Osteo Bi-Flex® is the only brand to feature the revolutionary formulation of ingredients in Joint Shield(tm), with patent-pending ingredient 5-LOXIN Advanced(tm). Taking 5-LOXIN Advanced(tm) showed improvement in joint comfort within 7 days.1 Joint Shield(tm) with 5-LOXIN Advanced(tm) works to guard against the action of enzymes that affect joint health.* 5-LOXIN Advanced(tm) is a super concentrated extract of Boswellia serrata, which helps with joint flare-ups.* Osteo Bi-Flex® self reports that it is manufactured under the strictest standards for product purity and potency. It is made exclusively with naturally sourced Glucosamine. A publication discussing the use of glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate (the most common forms of the supplements) to treat knee osteoarthritis was published in the July 14, 2003, issue of The Archives of Internal Medicine. The publication reviewed the best studies from 1980 to 2002, and concluded: "Our results demonstrated a highly significant efficacy of glucosamine on all outcomes, including joint space narrowing." The paper also found chondroitin "effective" on several outcomes measures, and added, "Safety was excellent for both compounds." One of the most discussed glucosamine study was published in a medical journal in 1999, and involved a group of Navy SEALS. My personal experience is similar. My left knee no longer clicks (damaged meniscus) with the frequency that it did for a half-dozen years and I can do squatting and lunging exercises without pain now. As a result I can again weight train regularly to rehabilitate and strengthen my legs. I'm knocking 55 and looking forward to an upcoming week of skiing in Colorado now. In my senior years, knee joint stiffness and occasional pain has haunted me. In younger years, many-many miles of running for wrestling, football, baseball and track has created worn joints. After looking for solutions to the stiffness and pain, I read about glucosamine as a dietary supplement. I started taking Osteo Bi-Flex a couple years ago. I take the one/day dosage and after a week or so, I felt quite a bit of relief. I’ve been taking it ever since. The pills are large and not the easiest to swallow. They do have a smaller tablet size available, but the cost is higher.

I've been using these for years.. They were recommended by my doctor. There's no side effects & they're very good 4-my the relief pain in my joints. The size of the pill is quite large so I recommend that you cut it into if u can't swallow it whole. Dosage is recommended (1) a day
