  • Best Day HIking Backpack
Size: Medium/Large Color: Stealth Black
This turned out to be the perfect day hiking backpack for me. The height is adjustable and after I set it to my torso length it felt very comfortable. I like backpacks with a hip belt, even for the smaller ones, since I have shoulder problems and the hip belt on this one is padded and very comfortable. It has two small pockets (one on each side) which are easily accessible while hiking. They just barely fit my phone, so maybe Osprey can make them a bit bigger on future models. It has two water bottle holders on the sides and they are a good size (not the kind where the bottle falls out). It has a front pouch for a helmet (I guess), I just used it to stuff in my jacket. The inside is roomy and has a small net pocket at the top which can be used for small items and also a pocket at the top with its own zipper. It's not a huge backpack, but it was big enough for me to carry everything I needed for a long day. I'm just saying that because I don't think it would be big enough to carry stuff for a whole family. I hiked in 90 degree weather and it was still very comfortable and not sticking to my back too much. ... show more

  • Beautifully constructed back pack
Size: Medium/Large Color: Stealth Black
I love the Osprey Tempest 20 but I sent this one back because it was too long for my torso. I did purchase another in light gray. This is the perfect backpack for a day trip!

  • Worth the cost
Size: Medium/Large Color: Stealth Black
I’ve tried the cheap route and there is just no comparison to the real deal. This is a great pack for short hikes to longer all day hikes

  • EXcellent
Size: Medium/Large Color: Stealth Black
Great quality. I wantched a video to understand all the loops and things the backpack has and why. Excellet to carry for a hike. It fit well on 250 lbs and 170 lbs -bodies. The size was perfect to carried our raining jackets, water botles and still had plenty of room for bathing suits and sandals. It was perfect during all of our hikes in Costa Rica National Parks (Manuel Antonio, Carara, Rio Celeste, Arenal, Guayabo). The material is lite weight, and also cool in your back. I will love to have a bigger side bag and located more towards the front to carry my cell phone, I also got the cover for the back pack but I did not have the opportunity to use it. Love the loops for the hiking sticks and the kangaroo pocket outside. ... show more

  • Wanted to LOVE….
Size: Medium/Large Color: Stealth Black
Bought to use in place of my ultimate direction 15L (which LOVE) for a rim2rim in couple months where need more size and wanted to try separate pouch for hydration bladder as multi-day trip. This pack advertises phone pouch but the mesh pouch is tiny and flimsy. Cannot fit even older iPhone 8 with case. That said the structure seems to be very well made…does NOT feel flimsy overall. That said… The fit on this pack did not fit my chest. It cuts the sides and no adjustment wld wrk. I’m a 36c-d. The UD packs have universal straps straight down chest. The osprey straps cutting off to side only enhanced my chest and was an awkward fit…not something I want on hikes. I don’t know if this is because women’s pack so designed this way but when look at men’s pack the straps are still off to side so fit looks to be the same. I’m returning. Going with the ultimate direction 20L which though lacking separate hydration pouch (bummer) has the strap placement I love and an awesome phone pouch that fits my iphone12 max. ... show more

  • Another Osprey Success - where’s the water?
Size: Medium/Large Color: Stealth Black
We love hiking across the PNW and these Osprey packs simply can’t be beat. You can tell through the stitching and the materials that it’s high quality. I’ve hiked more than 150 miles with this pack and love the way it conforms to my body. One thing I really wish is that Osprey would include their water bladder system with this pack as it’s an extra but mandatory cost. ... show more
