Meets the wood’s natural demands: it is microporous and does not crack, flake, peel, or blister. Resistant against wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juice, milk, and water in accordance with industrial norms. An excellent product. But priced as such. If you want an easy to use, high quality, fast drying product and don’t mind paying extra for it, look no further. Otherwise there are cheaper products that’ll do the trick. But I would spend the money for this again!

The main reason I purchased Osmo rather than Rubio Monocoat or Odie's Oil is because Osmo promises a very long shelf life. You can see on the can it says the shelf life is 5 years (if unopened). BUT, when I received the Osmo Polyx and the Osmo Extra Thin they BOTH had labels affixed saying they expire in January 2024 -- that is LESS THAN 2 YEARS from when I bought them (in Feb, 22). I didn't have time to send these back and ask for fresh cans because I was on a deadline, but I feel like I got ripped off. ... show more

Colors and grain come out incredibly well with osmo oil and then followed up with osmo wax. The pictures are maple and walnut and you can see a good finish. Easy to use.
