I purchased this pump to perform maintenance on an old skid steer loader. This pump emptied the tank on my old skiddy in about 1 minute. Or less! Quickly anyway! Flow/volume at en excellent rate. No mess. Good purchase.

    • Works great but needs work
This is the first time I'm writing a review for anything at all! I bought this pump to empty fuel oil tanks. The first time I used it it ran hot and I had to do some onsite electrical repairs and careful monitoring and pausing it frequently to finish emptying about 120 gallons. Once home I put on heavier gauge leads. Shortly after that the connections to the brushes melted. I sourced and modified new brushes and once again used heavier wire for those connections. I continued to monitor the temp when in use and gave it frequent breaks. Over time I also made improvements to my hoses and connections which allowed me to move product faster and put less strain on the pump. Over the past 2 1/2 years I've pumped about 1200 gallons and was always happy with it's performance pumping wise. Today, while using it, it stopped abruptly. I found a brass chip was lodged in the impeller. It doesn't look as though it came from the pump but rather must have been in the tank I was emptying. That didn't kill this unit but the fact that I didn't get to it in time to turn the motor off caused the armature windings to overheat and fail. So, why am I writing this review? This pump has good lift and head characteristics and it pumps fast if you use the right size hoses. It's just a bit lacking on the electrical side. That being said, while shopping for a replacement I started reading these reviews. This company definitely stands by it product. Any less than perfect review garners their attention. Why would I even consider buying the same, or similar, or a possibly less quality item from another seller if I'm going to stay in this price range? If I see I'm still taxing the new unit, I'll change out the leads. I already have them! I may even consider some sort of fuse or thermal protection! But that's a job for another day... ... show more

    • Good pump
heavy built, solid pump that draws fuel perfectly. Usually pumps work better pushing fuel than pulling. This pump does an excellent job pulling fuel from a can and pumping it uphill to the top of my machine. Would buy again

    • straight forward fuel (diesel for me) transfer pump
Not a whole lot to say about the matter -- good little pump; supplied fiittings are 25mm (aka 1") -- one will need to use hoses with ID diameter of 25mm (1" basically) -- not 3/4" as I have read in several threads.

    • Love this pump
I bought this for pumping waste vegetable oil for my grease burning truck. This pump is awesome! I do wrap the screen with a nylon for extra filtration but it has not failed me. Make sure you buy a good reinforced hose for suction side as the power tends to crush the hose.. which is a good thing. I easily pump up to 50 gallons in under the 30 minute run time and no problems pushing it out straight to the oil tank 20-25 feet away and elevated about 7 feet. Definitely recommend! ... show more

Dropped the pickup tube in a full drum of fuel and let it run for ~30 seconds... nothing. After dropping the output line below the level of the drum and opening the nozzle fuel started to flow. I tested the pumps ability to prime 3 times with the same result. Once you get the pump primed it works pretty well. It is noisy. It transferred a 55 gallon drum of fuel to a lift of about 6 feet in 6 or 7 minutes. It did get warm, but not excessively hot. If it would prime itself it would get 4 or 5 stars. ... show more

This pump assembly came complete with ease in attaching the hoses. The volume is more than adequate so pumping out my 20-gallon tank was rapid. It did the job I needed it to do. No leaking, not a drop. I recommend this pump for all small to large jobs.

    • WORKS GREAT
THIS THING IS A BEAST!!! I USE IT TO FILL MY TRACTOR FROM A 15 GALLON DRUM. IT WILL EMPTY 15 GALLONS IN UNDER A MIN. EVEN THOUGH IT HAS O RINGS THERE STILL NEEDS TO BE TEFLON TAPE ADDED TO PRVENT LEAKS. IT HAS NO PROBLEM PUMPING DIESEL.
