Overall, this was a good purchase. I have washed once and used for less than a week, so I cannot yet speak to durability. The fabric is 100% cotton 400 thread count--a substantial weight while still having some breathability. I thought from the images that the fabric might have some texture to it; it does not. That's just the printed-on pattern. I rated it 4 stars for softness because although it is soft for the weight of the fabric, if softness is a top priority for you, this is going to be crisper than you might want. It's 100% cotton, so it absolutely wrinkles. I found if I immediately smoothed the fabric as it came out of the dryer, it helped minimize the wrinkles, but you would need to iron to get them out. My bed is a full, comforter is a queen, so there is a nice amount of drop. If you have a queen bed, there won't be as much drop as in my photo. I read some reviews complaining about the quality of the corner ties, and yes, they are very lightweight and can't really be called fabric. I fully expect them to dissolve or otherwise fail within a few washings. It will take very little sewing skill--and only a needle, thread and some ribbon or fabric strips--to replace them when they do. Annoying, but not a deal-breaker for me, especially considering the price point. The actual colors were not quite what I expected. My color scheme is grey/blue/white, and I like my colors to have a blue undertone; not a green undertone. These greys and lighter blues look much more aqua to me and I don't love that. The grey used on the back of the cover is also darker than I expected and doesn't really coordinate with the greys on the front. It is, however, a similar color to my sheets, so that's not a problem for me. If you like to turn down the top of your bedding, I think it would look odd because of the mismatch. The darker blue is not quite navy; I really like the shade, but it will be hard to find a sheet set in that color. The zipper is nicer than button closures I've had on other duvet covers. Again, I've read complaints of the zippers failing, and that's definitely a risk. Even if the zipper failed, though, I think you could keep using the cover without it being really obvious. I've seen the pillowcases called both pillowcases and shams. They're a weird hybrid, closer to a pillowcase. On the opening, there is a little "envelope" of about 3 inches to tuck the pillow into, like you would expect with a sham. However, because it's such a short bit and there are no buttons or other ways to close the opening, it could easily look messy. Again, for me this isn't a problem, but it might be a deal-breaker for you. Overall, I'm happy with this set. ... show more

The listing says tumble dry low, do not dry clean...but the product tags themselves say: wash separately, cold water, no tumble dry, dry clean only. A little frustrating to see that the care instructions are so restrictive but it's not a huge deal to me. I had seen reviews with pictures showing buttons but mine had a zipper which I prefer because the buttons inevitably fall off. The pillow covers don't stay on very well with the way the ends are...wish there was a little more fabric on the inner flap to tuck around the pillow. I had a different design from the same brand and the color faded very quickly, so we will see if this one still has the same issue. On the initial wash, it seems to be holding up. I have to comment on another review that said the sizing was poor. I'm a little perplexed by this because duvets come in standardized sizes so they must have a non-standard sized comforter. For instance, IKEA size comforters only match their duvet covers. Mine matched perfectly. ... show more

Love this set! Super cute, fabric is decent and not scratchy. Only issue is when I washed it and put in the dryer on low, it shrunk. It wasn’t on high and it was washed with luke-warm water. So now it’s super snug and doesn’t fit the normal pillow and the duvet cover just barely matches the duvet, it is what it is. ... show more

I love the look of it. I wish there was some sort of snaps or something to connect the corners of the duvet to the cover and keep it in place. I like that it has a zipper closure. It is not soft at all, the material is quite ruff actually. I don't mind it not being soft as it goes on top of my sheets that are soft, so only the sheets are touching my skin. I love the added button details on the pillow shams. Would definitely recommend if you are going for look and function instead of softness. ... show more
