I was absolutely horrified to find in my Oregon Chai Sugar Free tea I came across the disgusting substance pictured in the photos attached to this review. The product is labeled as not expiring until August 2020 and a huge glob of some congealed mold/sludge came pouring out of the carton. I am not sure if I can ever buy from this brand ever again based on what came out of the container in this lot. Lot #0519965801. After looking at the rest of the cartons in the box they also have some dark sludge on the outside of the containers.

If you, like me, are in search of a Starbucks replacement, I regret to inform you this is NOT it. I have now tried this super concentrate, Oregon Chai Original Concentrate, and Tazo Classic and Organic Concentrates. I always have my chai with soy milk and no water, so I have been testing with Silk Vanilla. This Extra Spicy concentrate is heavy with clove, not pepper. The Oregon Original is sickeningly sweet with zero spice. The Tazo organic is extremely bitter. So, for my money, the Tazo Classic wins. Does it taste just like Starbucks? Not at all. However, it is a good balance of sweet and peppery, which is my preference. Cheapest at the grocery store. My quest continues. Good luck!

This was the first time I had tried this chai concentrate and purchased it because Of the discounted rate. Honestly, there is zero “spice” to this mix. It’s just sweet. If you’re looking for a chai concentrate that is similar to what you get at a coffee shop that actually has depth and spice to it, don’t buy this. I finally went to the store and bought the regular more popular Brand of chai concentrate and I feel like I’m actually having a chai latte for the first time since ordering this box of Organ Chai. I wish it wasn’t just sweet brown water, because I would much rather buy with the convenience of amazon at a discounted rate.

Throughout college I was addicted to Starbucks' chai tea latte with soy milk & kindly ignored the number of calories that come along with that drink. I had tried all kinds of different substitutes to try to have my morning chai without starting the day off with 350 calories but never found anything that I liked much less liked as much as Starbucks. Ever since I found this drink, I haven't gone back. I make this chai with silk vanilla unsweetened cashew milk - making a venti sized chai with this only 25 calories & the taste is comparable enough to have kept me happy every morning since. I will worn that I've tried this drink with other milks & didn't like it as much so the milk choice matters! Highly recommend!

I am VERY critical of taste, and was concerned with some reviews here, but this Oregon Chai concentrate leaves NO concerns at all.. it's PERFECT. The taste is creamy and just as delicious as the 1:1 liquid formula. I can see however, how some could easily made a bad drink because of the instructions on the bottle. Here's the problem; The 'chart' on the front refers to how many "pumps" to use per oz. of your drink. If you look above the chart, it says, "1 Pump equals 1oz." THAT'S an issue with me. I'm good with measures, and have many coffee syrups and flavorings, and 3 different pumps I use. NOT ONE of these pumps, or any I've ever used, will give you 1oz "per pump". Not even close. My best pump I have, largest volume that I use with my chocolate and pumpkin syrups, takes 4 pumps to get 1oz from it. So, for the perfect drink, i recommend: 1. Do not use water!! If you want a creamy Chai, use milk. At least 1% (i use 2%). No non-fat, no water 2. Use 1.5oz Chai Concentrate per 8oz milk. Most "mugs" use 16oz, so that's 3oz Chai. The bottle says "3 pumps" for 16oz, that's 3oz of Chai liquid. Finally, for those that don't cook or measure often... a "cup" doesn't refer to your favorite mug or coffee cup. It refers to 8oz, which is a very small amount of liquid. I believe your smallest O.J. glass may be 8oz. The best way to measure is to fill your mug with water, then pour into a Pyrex and see how much water it holds. Don't fill to the top! I have an 20oz mug I like to use, I filled it with 16oz milk, and 3oz of this Chai... and it was PERFECT. My wife and I both agree it tastes exactly the same, and a little better if you add just a small amt more of the Chai concentrate. The manufacturer should either include this 'magic' 1oz pump (I imagine it would be HUGE), or change the directions to refer to "oz" rather than "pumps". Enjoy! Highly recommended!!

i'm horrified i've ordered this a number of times and drink it everyday. with skim milk and a little trader joe's soy milk creamer, it's heaven. i love it so much i ran out b4 my next subscription shipment., so i placed an a supplemental order to fill the gap. the first container was good. but after that, it lacked sweetness. and the after taste from the splenda was awful. don't tell me they changed the formula! please don't tell me that. maybe it's just a bad batch. i'm out 25 bucks, but that is better than losing my all time favorite drink. UPDATE: SPOKE WITH OREGON CHAI. THEY COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NICER. IT SEEMS THERE IS INDEED A BAD BATCH. ENDING IN LOT #702. AND AMAZON WAS KIND ENOUGH TO GIVE ME BACK MY $$.

I think I'd go insane if not for this sugar free chai mix from Oregon chai. My wife has me on a diet that's sugar free and while we're avoiding sugar substitutes for the most part we agreed I could splurge on this chai mix from time to time. It was the one thing I really missed in the morning was a nice warm chai. Now I don't have to. Thanks Oregon Chai! No one else tastes as good sugar free.

This tea is extremely sweet and have absolutely no tea flavor! The tea flavor is VERY light and after mixing it with even a little milk (a lot less than recommended) it waters down the tea and is extremely milky. Would NOT RECOMMEND! Will stick to Tazo brand chai latte in the future!
