    • v2.0 has been out for a while, why are people buying these?
I didn't know v2.0 that is lighter, shorter, better filament path, and better gears was out. Lucked out and my v1.5 came with a LDO-36sth20-1004ahg(xh) motor. The extruder works fine, can be finicky when loading filament but if filament is not too bent will load fine. Have not tried flexibles yet. When set to 850 rms it get really hot, it runs much cooler at 700rms. I have not noticed any skipped step but I've only taken my machine to 130mm/s. I only got this because the Voron guys were high on these but after watching the youtube reviews I guess you should check to see if there is any lube in it. I don't know much about v2 but the filament exit looks inboard so may not be a direct swap. ... show more

Super light weight that's good for your direct drive less ghosting. I have this attached to My modded Ender 3 pro with hydra cooling system. One thing I wish that it did not need was the bowden tube between this and your heatsink. Yes its short but would be nice if it was not needed. I've had only a few issues with it skipping or jamming and that was my bad wrong setting in slicer. ... show more

So smooth, so small such a nice package. Yes you need a custom mount for it, but it really is a nice unit, replaced both of my bondtechs for these.

They will tell you this housing is injected nylon. I burned into one of these housing too find it was painted black and white 3d printed petg not nylon. I say this because the plastic melted and gave of little odor. Nylon burns and doesn't melt. Furthermore fystec motors are low quality, half the torque of ldo and twice as noisy. For anyone wanting one of these you can buy it for the for the same price on filastruder, except it will be a genuine ldo motor and a proper injection molded housing from an authorized seller that backs up what they sell. ... show more

I replaced my BMG with the Obiter 1.5 and couldn't be happier. Works great and is less money and less weight .
