I cracked into these about two minutes after they hit my doorstep. It's getting super hard to find the little tubs of these in the grocery stores so I decided, hey, spring for a whole thing of them. And I'm super glad I did. These are fresh, soft, and they're the good kind with the finer sugar on them. NOT the kind with the big crunchy grains where the fleshy bit tastes like chemicals and sadness. These are a winner. I'd be hard-pressed to tell them from the super expensive national brand. In fact, I'd say these are better. A little tangier, a little sharper, not as cloyingly sweet as the pegboard kind. It's not the world's best deal but it's the best deal here on Amazon. And it turns out, they're fresh and good, too!

These are so full of food dye that they almost taste like ink. I was planning on making little “Orange You Glad It’s Summer” treat bags for my summer school kids, but I really don’t think anyone should be eating this many chemicals.
