I bought these for my 6 year old daughter. We went swimming and she lost one of the earrings that she got pierced with back in November of last year. Well we quickly came home and put in a pair of earrings that I got from Claires. Well after a few days they started hurting her. So after 2 hours of researching earrings to get her I came back to these ones. It didn't have as many reviews as some other earrings on here but the reviewed that I did read I liked. My daughter loves them!! She hasn't had one problem with them!! They even came with little rubber backings that I put on along with the backing they came with. These have become a favourite in my wardrobe! The opal throws mostly pale blue and turquoise with a hint of pink and the silver surround is light and shiny, so I feel like they add a bit of brightness and colour to my face without being too glittery for the daytime. Synthetic opals are nothing to devalue these (and other) used on earrings (especially when the super perfect slicing of natural opals would crazy difficult to be precise.
