This is a very nice quality basic housedress. The seersucker fabric appears to be quite sheer when new out of the package, but after washing it shrinks a tiny bit and tightens up, making it less see-through and stronger feeling. This was purchased for my elderly mother to wear daily. It hits just above her ankles and has snap buttons that go all the way to the bottom of the gown. It has pockets and is non-restricting but works really well for being both modest (she hates wearing a bra) as well as accommodating her slight mobility issues. My ONLY complaint is that it seems a bit expensive for such a basic, un-fancy design, but we tried ordering some of the cheaper priced housedresses and they were so poorly made that we had to return them, so you get what you pay for, I guess. Unfortunately, I washed this item without trying it on because I have others from the same vendor in the same size. Well, this one is at least two sizes bigger than my others. In addition, the fabric is much thinner than my others (and probably kind of see through). Since I use the ”lounger” as one of my at home “l’m-completely-comfortably-decently-dressed” garments, I suppose I could put a straight seam down the back from neck to hem and see if that would suffice; otherwise, I’ll just give it away. ... show more

Have bought these lounger/housedresses for years. The price just keeps going up and the quality keeps going down. No longer luxurious material - paper thin. Paint comes off snaps in a matter of months. Or snaps no longer work or just fall off. Pockets easily rip.
