I participate in and organize lots of tactical training sessions at my local range and other facilities and shoot well over 1000 rounds per month so my rigs tend to get pretty beat up. I have purchased several 1TG products, everything from plate carriers, chest rigs, accessories, even some of their tactical K9 products and I can for sure say that these are very high quality products, that hold up extremely well in harsh conditions and given the value, are every bit as functional and durable as most of the far more expensive military contract companies. The Griffen Plate carrier is a great balancing act between a full sized assault carrier and a low profile high speed rig. Everything is highly adjustable, easy to put together and provides an awesome platform for placards and other MOLLE gear specific to your needs. The only "con" that I could find is that the shoulder pads and plate bag padding is pretty thin and basic. It leaves a lot to be desired, it's OK and isn't uncomfortable, but for sure could be better. That said this issue is easily fixed by grabbing a pair of Shellback shoulder pads, and replacing the mesh pads on the plate bags with something a bit more substantial. It should also be noted that this plate carrier is more a template for a rig. It doesn't come with any accessories, however the cummerbund does have mag/utility pockets. You will need to customize the placard if you want it to be combat functional, but for me this is a good thing, since it is totally compatible with all the standard plate carrier accessories out there. Other small features that the Griffen has that are nice additions for the price point are the rear drag handle and the quick disconnect buckles in the shoulders. Little details, but super important for a plate carrier. The drag handle is so simple yet it SAVES LIVES. If by chance you find yourself needing to evacuate a teammate who is injured in a hostile area, the ability to grab an easily accessible handle and simply pull the person to safety is invaluable. Then the quick disconnect buckles in the shoulders give those providing medical care an extremely quick and easy means to remove the carrier to gain rapid access to injuries. When seconds matter, details count. Finally, the plate bags themselves are perfectly sized to accept your standard SAPI plates. I have several different sets, all different ratings, weights and thickness and every one so far fits nicely. I always recommend multi-curve plates, but that isn't really anything to do with the plate carrier. In the end, I recently did an 8hr outdoor tactical day in the humidity and heat of Texas springtime in this carrier and it performed really well. Perhaps not quite a comfortable as say the K19 or some of the Shellback carriers, but at this price I can cope and won't feel as bad when I run this rig to its failure point. One feature that I believe would greatly improve this already good carrier is the addition of Cumberland rip clips and also a rip clip on at least of the shoulders for even quicker removal of the carrier in an emergency.

I chose this pc and my dad bought it for me for my OCP/multicam kit at the time when I didn’t know much about plate carriers. I really like how modular it is so I can do all kinds of modifications. For the quality it may not be Crye quality but it’s good for Airsoft, however for some reason the people who did the stitching on mine makes it really stiff. The cummerbund was alright and not uncomfortable but I upgraded to a TT cummerbund. The shoulder pads and padding inside the pc are okay but I plan on upgrading them. For the value of the money I wish it came with more accessories. Overall I recommend this pc for backyard plinking, Airsoft, ect.

I had an extra set of Kevlar plates so I bought this and I'm actually impressed! It fits and holds the curved plates really well and the Molly seems really well done and all up it seems like it can take a hit and keep on going... grab handle is probably fine but could use more reinforcement... hopefully It never has to be use for my sake lol Would totally recommend this plate carrier

I'm using this to work out in. Feels pretty quality. Time will tell how it holds up over time. It does come with "trauma" pads. I wish I would know that before I bought some. Maybe it was in the description I cant remember. The plates are a tight squeeze which isn't really a bad thing. Strap this bad boy on and go for a walk. Start slow. Just make sure you get a hippy patch. Throw them off. Over all I am happy with my purchase. #allyouneedislove

I got this for my son last year, and he loved it at first. But he watched some videos and had taken into an account that it was to big for him. First he realized that the size was to big and restricted some of his movement where its not supposed to. Second he bought a chest rig with his own money to put on the plate carrier, and it didn’t fit (im pretty sure it only takes Onetigris chest rigs). Third the quality is not that good because the cummerbund almost immediately started to have threads tear out. Overall only get this if your gonna go airsofting and are 5,7+
