Each make up brush is nicely wrapped. They are individually wrapped as well as double sealed. . Also, each brush tip is protected with a plastic barrier to keep the bristles protected and smooth. The handles are plastic but a solid plastic material. They have flat bottoms and sit upright easily. No matter the size of the brush, big or small mine have all had no problem staying up on my counter. I usually just sit them down by the base of the brush and that’s the most steady way to do it. The smaller ones take a little more finesse and ease. They are lighter weight and thin so it only makes sense. The brush bristles are extremely soft. They have an ombré blue green tip and a pure white base of the brush head. These brushes do great on my skin and are very soft. I like the large variety of sizes. This is an extremely large set that will last me quite some time. Considering that I only need a few brushes for my entire make up application, it was easy to share with my teen daughter. We each picked out brush sizes we needed for our daily application and still had some left over to give to baby sister to play with and keep for later. Even baby sister likes them as she can set them up on the table and pretend to do makeup like big sister. She likes the way the soft bristles feel on her cheeks. I was very impressed with the make up brushes. For the price, you get all of these brushes that are good quality. The hair is not tough or rough on the skin plus when pulled, the hair doesn't come out. These are the nicest makeup brushes I've ever owned. They are heavy and you can feel the quality, but they are not so heavy that it is uncomfortable to apply makeup with them. The handles are beautiful and it is very easy to balance them in an upright position if you are so inclined. Personally, I could not store brushes that way or they'd constantly be falling over when I move things around them. I ordered this for my wife and she was really pleased with the set. The brushes are dense and have a really nice color to them. She likes that since they are white and green it is easy to see when they need to be cleaned as opposed to black or brown brushes that hide the makeup that builds up on the brushes. Being able to set the brushes down on end is nice. The base isn't stable enough to have the whole set stored on end but rather just enough if you want to set a brush down for a bit while you do something else and come back to it. Only the most stable of tables would allow you to keep them all upright. I really loved this brush set. I was really excited for the color and most importantly that they stand up. Some other brands claim to stand but they end up being top heavy and falling over. These truly stand up. With them being white I can see how much product is on them before cleaning them. There is very little fall out and they are so soft on my skin. These brushes do stand up as expected but are a bit wobbly and will knock the others down if you have them lined up and even the smallest one falls. It's a nice "feature" but really doesn't end up being something very special. I would consider myself a beginner when it comes to makeup as I pretty much stick to the one neutral look that I know how to do. I'd love to be better, but it just doesn't come overly naturally to me. Anyways, I've always been using Elf brushes before this which have done well over the years. I thought I would order these to step up my game and that I would notice a huge improvement. The first thing I noticed was that the bristles were so soft and I liked the color of them. Once I got into using them, I didn't really notice much of a difference between my regular brushes and these. Even the softness wasn't that noticeable during application. These are great brushes but the stand up feature makes these my favorite brushes I own! I keep my brushes laying flat in my drawer because I don't have the counter space or drawer depth to keep them in a cup or container that holds them up. So the ability for them to stand on their own is really important to me for when I am applying my makeup and want to set my brush on my bathroom countertop while switching brushes but don't want to set them on a dirty bathroom counter top.
