This was the perfect addition to my living room corner. It makes a huge statement yet doesn’t make the room feel smaller. It took some time to put together and the directions are not the easiest to follow but I found looking at it from a “common sense” perspective once I got it going was a better approach than trying to follow the directions. My skill level and strength are probably “average” and I did most of it myself. I had another person give me a hand toward the end because it was easier but could have probably done it alone. Took me a few hours over two nights but it was easy to just stack the pieces and get back to it the second night. Highly recommend given the outcome. ... show more

There are 3 configurations, I opted for one of the corner options. It was the perfect size for me to decrease the footprint of my crafting storage and actually get more of my crafting materials into that footprint in a more accessible fashion so I can make better use of what I have. I'm very pleased with it's capacity to size ratio, and the price was a decent deal on a sale day. That being said, my ONE issue with it is that securing the shelf parts into the L shape was a highly over-engineered part of the construction. It could have been done with just some pilot holes and wooden pegs, it definitely DID NOT need to be a double ended turn lock. And it's not quite flush, which is a mild annoyance to my sense of symmetrical aesthetics. All in all, it's a good, adaptable shelf, plenty durable once it's constructed, just go carefully and patiently if you do the L shape. ... show more

I was looking for a bookshelf to replace the cheap black basic bookshelves I have had for years. This one is relatively inexpensive, and while not solid wood, it is really beautiful and feels like something I am proud to display in my home. As you can see in the pictures, I have quite a large number of books, yet the shelves seem very sturdy. It was a bit of a hassle to put together, and I consider myself pretty good at assembling furniture. Three times, I put the pieces together backwards, which is really easy to do as it's not really described in the assembly instructions. I would recommend for you to really step back and try to visualize how it's going to look before you spend hours with that little allen wrench. By the way, the instructions say not to use power tools, but eventually I got fed up and used my power drill - it was fine. Just be gentle with it. The bookshelves come with brackets so you can fasten them to the wall for support, but they are kind of ugly. It's essentially just a wall bracket that you use zip ties to attach the bookshelf. Really ugly, and you just have to cover it up with books or something to hide it. Overall I am very pleased, and will probably buy another one of the same kind when my book collection outgrows this shelf (as it already has!) ... show more

This shelf is amazing. It’s the perfect size for my apartment. Holds all kinds of stuff. You can set it up three different ways so it will pretty much fit any space you want it to. Instructions were easy to read, and very easy to assemble.

    • Defective Product. Missing and Misaligned Premade Holes

I had purchased the shorten version of this and was so happy with it that I also purchased this taller unit. Well, don't. The seller knows these are defective and are continuing to sell the product anyway. I tried working with the seller to know avail. They would like for me to watch videos and learn workarounds for the defective part of the unit. I am a disabled person of age. My adult kids assembled the other one and this one. That's not happening. They do not possess McGyver-like skills to create holes and parts where there are none nor should anyone have to. The thing is 65% assembled and would be a pain to take back apart to return. So, I'm going to pay a handyman $50 to figure out a solution. I do not recommend purchasing this unit and sure wish I hadn't either. ... show more
