I chose this bookshelf based on the current reviews and I am so happy that I did! This thing is sturdyyyy. She is tall and beautiful 😍, and serves the purpose that I need it to. I absolutely love it! When decorating my teeny tiny guest bedroom, I knew I wanted some sort of shelving unit that (1) had a drawer for weekend guests, (2) had at least three shelves, (3) wasn’t super deep nor wide and (4) was an open shelving concept (as to not further enclose an already small space). I figured that it would be nearly impossible to find, until I stumbled upon this. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. When ordering online, I rely heavily on clearly labeled dimensions and I’m happy to report that these were completely accurate. It came with a very minor scratch on one of the black drawer pulls, but since it was on the bottom and not a piece of furniture to be used frequently, I decided to look past that. The shelves and drawers are particleboard with a wood overlay but it has great, realistic coloring and smooth texture! Drawers slide in and out like a breeze. I live alone and ordered while quarantining so I didn’t have anyone to help assemble. And while it would have been easier with two people (especially to keep the unit squared off), it is certainly not impossible to build alone! Instructions are easy to follow, though there are TONS of pieces, so keep yourself organized! NOTE TO RENTERS: This is NOT a standalone unit. It will need to be drilled with two screws into a wall and I don’t see anyway around that. If you can hang a picture, this should leave the same amount of damage (or *slightly* more, if using anchors like I did – aka larger holes). Regardless, the holes will be easy to fill afterwards! Overall, I’ve had this unit for three months, and I couldn’t be happier. It is sturdy, stable, beautiful, and each shelf can display SO MUCH (see picture)! Absolutely thrilled with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone whose considering.

I bought two of these and they are so stable, sturdy, and constructed in such a way that I know they'll survive my next move. I've always bought cheaper bookcases, as I'm a reader, and I've seen them evolve (or devolve) in some cases, going from sturdy material to fairy dust and toilet paper and back to sturdy again. The engineers who designed this bookcase did an excellent job. No more do you get the long, black cardboard to tack into the back of the bookcase - now it comes with individual little frames you slide in back and affix there with nails, so it's MUCH more durable than this type of bookcase used to be. The size is very cute, about half of a "Traditional" bookcase. I have two, to go beside my three bigger bookcases and they look adorable. Top marks to this seller and store. When I put my first bookcase together, I saw how excellent their design was... there is a critical point where you have to put a board on the 'middle' where the two sides you're assembling will connect... they could have just cut the holes to look like the top and bottom boards, but they made the holes DIFFERENT there so you'd notice "oh I can't just slap this board anywhere, it goes specifically in the middle" which was an EXCELLENT design choice as I almost made that mistake. When I put together the second bookcase and was too overconfident and made a mistake - I thought I had a faulty bookcase, but the store worked with me, helped me identify the piece I had (flipped upside down like an idiot!) and saved me a trip to make a return! GREAT SERVICE, above and beyond! I am very happy with my bookcases and will order more as I am always buying more books. Highly recommend!

Extremely efficient space saver...Oh I didn't use it for books whatsoever, it's intended use. I stuck it in my clothes closet and my lovely sweaters are now stored in these perfectly sized cubicles. GOOD material for fabrication; EXCELLENT assembly instructions. One cool company that clearly has quality, durability, cost on their mind in producing this great, flexible unit. So in assembling and looki8ng at the photo the unit doesn't come out as clean as the photo would depict. For one thing its not a solid white back. Its brown and the backs inset into the sides so it's not a perfect white seamless back as the picture shows. Theres also these little corner supports for the shelves that don't install as easily as one would think. THey barley fit in the gap between the shelves and backs and as soon as you use a driver on them they twist out and the tab folds over they are kind of a drag and in the picture it just shows clean white shelves with no supports in the corner. Ok I get it but take a real picture of the unit in 360 because it does not turn out like the picture implies. Probably just a stock picture but this cabinet isn't as clean as the picture. Decent value though it's not like this is a centerpiece in my home its tucked away and no one would notice but as the assembler I think its quality leaves a little to be desired. I also glued all the joints because laminate particle board of the lowest grade doesn't hold up over time at the screw joints so I glued them. I would have felt better with a gard up of particle board to e medium coarse but this really mde of the lowest grade particle board with a pretty white laminate. Also in joining the top half to the bottom half with the hardware given it doesn't sit flush so I can see the seam in between the top and the bottom pieces.
