As a long-time fan of Oneida, I was excited to add this Organic Shades 2-Piece Serving Set to our tableware collection. We chose the Green, but based on the product description, I can imagine the Oatmeal is just as beautiful—the entire collection looks high-quality. This set lives up to the trusted Oneida name, blending artisan style with everyday durability. The stoneware is fantastic. The glaze is truly beautiful and feels extremely durable, with enough weight to feel substantial but not too heavy to pass around a table. It's solid feel and seems to hold up perfectly to regular use. Best of all, they are dishwasher and microwave safe. The pieces themselves are perfectly sized for family-style serving: The 44-oz Bowl is ideal for large salads, pasta dishes, or a generous side of mashed potatoes. The Platter (13" long) is excellent for serving entrees like roasted chicken, or arranging side dishes. The line is called "Organic Shades" for a reason—the shapes are "pleasantly imperfect," which gives each piece a wonderful, unique, rustic look. However, this aesthetic choice comes with one small practical drawback: these pieces are not symmetrical and do not stack well with our standard serving platters and bowls in the cabinet. They take up awkward space and tend to slide. We've solved this issue by leaving them out on our dining table as a centerpiece, which they are more than beautiful enough to handle! If cabinet space is at a premium and perfect stacking is required, be aware of this limitation. If you are looking for a highly durable, microwave-safe serving set with true artisan style and you don't mind sacrificing a little table or real estate, this set is absolutely worth it. The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using Oneida’s Organic Shades 2-piece serving set in Oatmeal and it’s quickly become a favorite. The bowl and tray aren’t designed to stack, but they work beautifully together. It’s perfect for serving pasta or salad in the bowl and crusty bread on the tray. The bowl fits easily in my cabinet, while the tray’s awkward-shaped size makes it a bit trickier to store. The oatmeal color is soft and neutral, making it easy to mix and match with other dinnerware.
