  • A GOOD CHOICE WHEN YOU NEED AFFORDABLE DRUMSTICKS IN BULK
Size: On Stage Hickory 7A Nylon Drumsticks 12 P...
I am a gigging drummer in a classic rock/modern country cover band. Unfortunately, my playing style lends to going through drumsticks fairly quickly (I usually break 2-4 sticks in the course of playing a four-hour gig). Therefore, I like to keep plenty of extra sticks (of equal size/weight) within quick reach in my stick bag. I could splurge and keep a stock of "high end" name-brand sticks (e.g. Vic Firth, ProMark), but I feel these sticks perform adequately for my needs. These sticks might be inexpensive, but they still retain many quality features. The weight of the sticks is pretty consistent. The wood type is generally strong enough for the intended purpose (on rare occasion, I'll run into one stick in the batch that has less-dense texture or a weird grain that leads to an early break.). If you roll these sticks on a flat surface, you will often note SLIGHT warping - but they're still quite useable. AN IMPORTANT quality feature I appreciate - regarding the nylon-tip sticks - is that the tips are securely glued on. Nothing worse than a nylon tip breaking or flying off an otherwise perfectly good stick. It seems to happen no more frequently with these sticks than it does on the big name brands. Overall, a very good choice for drummers. ... show more

  • Durable, and Consistent
Size: On Stage Hickory 2B Nylon Drumsticks 12 P...
Someone recommended nylon tipped sticks as being better for electronic drums because it's less likely to splinter and tear the mesh heads than wood tips. I've been playing the same pair since I bought them about a month ago, and I've had no problems. They aren't particularly light weight, as far as I can tell, but the sticks and tips are durable, and play just liked if expect them to. I knocked off a star because of the packaging. The sticks are just in a box. They're wrapped loosely in pairs, but just in plain plastic bags. Not bad. Just effort free. They also don't make me play any better, but I didn't expect that. ... show more

  • Play a lot? Need practice sticks?
Size: On Stage Hickory 7A Nylon Drumsticks 12 P...
These are pretty lightweight for hickory and the quality isn't as great as when I bought them many years ago but with 12 sticks for basically the price of a d'Addario 3-pack they're solid as practice sticks or for anyone that is not yet a picky pro player. Yes, I prefer a name-brand custom select hickory for feel and durability but why should anyone pay $10/pair if they aren't getting paid regularly for their performances? Drums are one of the most expensive instruments for maintenance and this is a great way to keep costs down. ... show more

  • Durable

The sticks are the size I like and sound great on the cymbals. All wooden sticks wear on the rim shoots or cross sticking depending on how aggressive you play. Overall satisfied.

  • Too light to be hickory and size 5B
Size: On Stage Hickory 5B Nylon Drumsticks 12 P...
I got 5b for the size and weight. These are lighter than my 5a vic firth sticks. They are also super slippery, after just a couple minutes playing they started to slip.

  • $1.50 per pair.
Size: On Stage Hickory 2B Nylon Drumsticks 12 P...
They are what they are, drum sticks. I could have paid $12 a pair for Firth or Pro's but why? $1.50 a pair is cheap and they are balanced and aren't warped at all. They aren't pretty but who cares when I give them out they look like a Rottweiler chewed them so...

  • Great wieght, Great sound!
Size: On Stage Hickory 2B Nylon Drumsticks 12 P...
My wife had gotten me some sticks & they were nice, so nice in fact they disappeared!!! They were a little lighter & weaker than these sticks, which have a great sound and seem more durable. Out of all the sticks my wife bought me the only pair that weren't stolen got broken by some kid my son said knew how to play. Well he did not and will be the last person to ever sit on my drum stool again live and learn. So out of a bad situation came these wonderfully strong not to heavy sticks that sound awesome. I am a beginner at the drums and these sticks are really nice. My friend is in a band and a excellent drummer and he told me I did quite well choosing these sticks. They are strong and hold up well when you hit harder for the dynamics & changes needed when playing. They also hold up well when you are incorporating rim shots in your playing they are a good all purpose stick! ... show more

  • Its all about how you play.
Size: On Stage Hickory 7A Nylon Drumsticks 12 P...
This is a tale of two players. My brother and I share drumming duties and sticks (most of the time). I play semi hard but pretty loud rock music and I love these sticks, simply because they last forever for me. The nylon tip does sound much brighter than wood, which I don't prefer, but they do not chip, which drives me crazy about wood. However they OFTEN will fall off. So, I simply keep glue next to the kit and once a tip pops, just glue it on and it will not come back off. This package will last a non basher player a very long time. My brother hates these sticks. He plays like Animal from The Muppets and breaks at least two every time he practices. If you play like Keith Moon, this package will last you a few weeks. ... show more
