  • Very versatile!
This charger is really is the swiss army knife of battery banks. It is light weight and compact given its functionality. For traveling this is going to be hard to beat. You could probably find a specific charger for a specific application that is more portable, but nothing that can tackle this many applications will come close. Pros: - The display screen is very handy and informative. - Pass through charging (meaning that you can charge the Omni 20+ while it is charging something else). - All of the different applications that work with this device!!! - Accessories are very nice and add quite a bit of functionality to an already extremely versatile device. Cons: - The pass through feature does not work with the USB-C and the DC barrel (they operate on the same circuitry). So passthrough only works with the AC, the USB-A ports, or the wireless charger. This is probably related to the fact that the USB-C and the DC barrel port are both of the inputs for charging. So this is set up so that you can not try to charge from two sources simultaneously (seems reasonable). - The documentation is pretty lacking. There is only a quick start guide included in the box. You have to down-load the user manual. Even then the user manual is lacking information that would be helpful to users. Things like turning off the AC inverter while not being used will conserve battery power. Details about customizing the DC barrel port are not illustrated. Overall it is good, but it could be much better. - There is no way to charge the omni 20+ with what comes in the box. It comes with a USB-C cable but no wall charger. It mentions charging with USB-C in 3 hours, but if you use a standard phone wall charger (which is what most people have) it will charge significantly slower. Either they should include a fast USB-C PD wall charger or explain the differences more clearly in the documentation. - The accessories are pretty expensive. Overall it is a wonderful device that really does a tremendous amount of things. ... show more

  • Most compact battery with the featureset
I camp and travel fairly often, especially to places that lack convenient access to A/C power. For a while now, I've had a powerbank I truck around with me when I travel, but it's bulky, noisy (has a loud fan), and its power readout is vague. The specific use I had picked it up for was to use with my mini guitar amp so I could play at secluded gigs. The battery was about the size of my amp, so it was frustrating to have to deal with. I've watched the Omni 20+ since it was first launched, and after the reviews seemed stellar, I finally upgraded. First off, the size issue is definitely resolved. I'm already looking at fabricating a slot to hold this battery on the back of my mini amp. It's the size of my hand, I couldn't ask for more in that department! The wireless charging is neat, but unfortunately it's a bit fiddly with my phone (I don't blame Omni, that's all Samsung's fault for how they mounted the S22's camera lenses). If you're dead set on that, it's maybe worth just bringing a regular wireless charger and hooking it up to the battery on a wire. It's also worth noting that the wireless charging feature is tied to the USB power circuit, in case you miss that. The fact that the USB and A/C outlets are on different circuits is nice, though I'm hard-pressed to think of a reason to turn off one of the circuits instead of just unplugging the associated device. The readout is amazing. The stats are relevant and great for estimating battery drain if you need to manage your battery's charge, or catching a device that draws more power than you expected. Honestly, my only issue is that it would be nice to have a cover for the ports (even a soft silicone plug would be enough) since I'll tend to be using it in dusty places, or keeping it in a laptop bag where lint and clutter may accumulate. It's a small thing, but at this price point it would have been nice. TL;DR: It's probably the most polished, portable, and feature-packed battery pack you'll find that still provides a 100W A/C outlet, and the brand has been around long enough to prove their quality. ... show more

  • Best USB charger I’ve ever owned
Don’t listen to any negative nonsense about this unit. It’s likely due to user error. I’ve had this for a few years now and it’s still going strong. Recently, it was in my car for almost a year (I’d misplaced it). Despite extreme cold weather and extreme heat in the summer I just plugged it in and it still works perfectly. How many electronic devices can any of us say that about? ... show more

  • Qi Pad Questionable in an Otherwise Amazing Battery
This battery pack is incredible! Perfect for travel, and despite being relatively heavy (it's heavy for a battery pack, but for a 20,000mah battery it's actually quite light), it is so thin that you can shove it into most front pockets of carry-on baggage (my suitcase has a dedicated pocket for battery packs, and this fits perfectly in it). It also shows you plenty of info on the handy little LED screen on the front, such as a numeric charge level (a welcome improvement over the 4 LED status indicator on most packs), what ports are enabled, and remaining charge in mah. It also can output a full 100W through the USB-C port, a fantastic feature if your laptop supports that function. The one problem I've had with it is the Qi pad on top. It worked one time, and now just doesn't seem to function anymore. The display says the pad's enabled, but no matter how I place my Qi-compatible phone, it won't charge anymore. This does remove some convenience factor, but isn't a deal-breaker as I bought it for its 110v wall port to keep my workstation laptop charged, not for phones or USB devices. If you happen to have a high-performance laptop (mine draws 280W), this pack is good for about 2-3 full charge cycles depending on activity and your laptop's battery. ... show more
