These are great beach socks for metal detecting on the beach, in and out of the ocean, the 3MM kept my feet warm and the top of my feet to not get sunburn because when you’re going in and out of the water Sunblock does not last long on top of your feet. Bought a high version, and with the Velcro strap, it totally kept sand out when I was in the dry or the wet sand. I wear size 12 shoe and bought the XXL size (11-12). They fit perfectly. I only recommend wearing these on the beach not on concrete, I walked on Sidewalks and streets with these on wearing my Crocks. It helps cushion my foot using the beach scoop recovering targets found with the Metal Detector. I highly recommend these and I was totally surprised with their performance especially keeping sand out when I was in and out of the water. I liked them so much I bought a second pair.

I bought these for a beach/snorkel trip. These worked really well to fit inside fins, kept from rubbing and kept feet warm. When I removed my fins, I had something on my feet so they were protected to walk to get my shoes. I was glad I purchased these.

So far so good. About 10 uses on a rocky beach. Keeping my feet warm and protected and they show no signs of wearing through ( as some here have noted) even though I've walked around with them. I will note that water pools near the toes and this makes swimming a bit harder - so perhaps buy a size small? In any event, glad I have them!

These are great swim socks, more durable than just the fabric versions. These have a more sturdy sole and treads to help keep you from slipping. My husband and I are scuba divers and enjoy snorkeling. I like the socks for both boot type fins or strap fins. I wore a fabric sock inside these for my last liveaboard week of diving ( 22 dives) and had no raw spots or blisters. The are very soft and flexible. You don't want to hike or walk on very rough ground in these. They protect a bit on rough beach or piers but I wouldn't use them for a lot of walking protection. I love them to protect my feet in the water.

Fit was good. Protected feet, but I thought neoprene would keep my feet dry. I would have bought a waterproof pair had the advertising been MORE CLEAR. One day of cold, soggy, wet feet. I won't use these again.
