The good news is that the majority of the Omega-3 Fatty Acids are from EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). There is a third category, labelled “Other Omega”, which I assume is likely ALA (alpha-linolenic acid). Our bodies process EPA and DHA well, but the ALA fatty acid must be converted into EPA or DHA and it doesn’t always do a very good job at it. Of course, like all supplements of this ilk, these have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. However, these Omega-3 gummies are one of the good guys; you should have less concerns literally swallowing them! Still, it is always a good idea to double check with your doctor before taking any supplements. Omega-3 is great for brain function, skin, vision and more! I know my good cholesterol will go up and my bad cholesterol will go down. Every single time! Since it is Vegan, it is most likely that the Omega-3 Fatty Acids are derived from kelp—seaweed—instead of (fatty) fish oils. These are also great gummies for people who are prone to reactions from food allergens. I encourage you to check out the pictures Amazon has posted and to read the back label. I think you will be impressed with how little goes into the gummies and how much is left out! They are even naturally orange (no food colouring) and sweetened from the orange juice. Upon opening the bottle, there was a distinctive waxy smell. Later, with a deeper inhale I was able to make out an orange, slightly citrus-y aroma and something else that I cannot put my finger on. These gummies are sweet and easy to chew and have not dried up nor gummed up together, which can often make it challenging to peel away two gummies. These gummies have a Navel Orange flavour. I look forward to my two gummies a day!
