I’m new to playing pickle ball coming from ping pong, tennis, and volleyball. So I picked up on it very quickly, the paddle is definitely MUCH better than any Walmart paddle, provides lots of control due to the sandpaper like face on the paddle, the sweet spot is much bigger than on the cheaper paddles, and it’s lightweight as well. It seems like a very bang for your buck, I think if I were playing everyday and took this sport seriously I’d want a better paddle, but for playing 2 times a week or so, it’s a good overall paddle for under $100. ... show more

One step above the cheapies that come in bundled beginner sets. Thin core so feel is just ok. Power also below average. Surface grit is good so a skilled player can impart decent spin. This paddle is not as heavy as other paddles I tried in this price range. It is very maneuverable and will give you heavy and controllable spin when you want it. Handle is around 4.5 rather than the usual 4.25, but it didn’t bother me as I played tennis for years with bigger grips.
