***PLEASE NOTE: I purchased TWO 8 Pack kits to achieve what you see in attached photo.*** Though my attached photo displays an interesting pattern (mounted with 3M Command Adhesive Strips on the bottom of a loft frame), this actually was not my intended design. This was the result of trial and error to get this cluster to function. As other reviews have described, not all of the USB ports will work in conjunction with one another. You basically have to find a configuration that actually allows all of them to work as a unit, which is a bit annoying and defeats the purpose of having this kind of potential flexibility. I was not too bothered due to this item being cheap (so I did not have high expectations of this setup anyways), and for what it can do outside of the configuration issue, does well enough. The LEDs are plenty bright and highly configurable (particularly when using the companion app which is available in your respective app store on mobile). That said, while the USB connectors feel locked in when connected, it is rather flimsy. However, I remedied this by applying some Scotch tape along shared edges of the hex structures for increased rigidity. For me this was just to replace an LED rope light I bought at Walmart to provide supplemental lighting (not used as a primary light source). This does the trick so I cannot complain too much. Lastly, 16 of these hex LED panels configured the way I have in the attached photo can cover 1/3 the length of a twin sized bed: approximately 2ft 2in (L) X 1ft 4in (W). ... show more

As the only light panel I ever tried I would rate this 4*, worked right out of the box with the default colors and app works too without a hitch, I would give it a perfect 5 but the light connection feels flimsy :)

This product is awesome! Son purchased them and I'm a little jealous. You can control the brightness, colors, and program them to do different things with the colors. The problem is they only stayed on his wall for a week. We are going to have to have to figure out something else to get them back up on the wall. ... show more

    • First pack did not work, replacement worked fine but a few things they could improve...
Pros: Lights work well once i got my replacement package. It works as expected. You can make your own design and the USB connection makes it easy to set and glue to your wall. Cons: I got dead lights when they arrived. Amazon went ahead and sent a replacement which it did work. USB connection feels a bit flimsy. As long as it is glued to the wall, you should not have problems, but if you are using it on any other way, you may see that it may come apart. Other thoughts: Obviously, they are copying the design from a different brand product, but it pretty much does the same, so that is good (since the branded ones are much more expensive). I wish they was a choice of cable colors as the white one does not really fit our room wall colors. Also, I was it was a bit more functional, as you cannot extend this kit, but you need to buy a brand-new kit. The function of lighting with music is OK, but somehow not all the lights light up with music. Maybe because they use a frequency filter to assign lighting to all the modules, but it was a bit inconsistent on how they light up. ... show more

I like the brightness of this.. super cool for my sonโ€™s gamer room had to buy 3 thou to make it look big enough on wall..i still think i should buy more, but the color is bright so the whole room is the color u change it too..also u can change on remote or on a app on ur phone works great ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ‘

I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. The only issue is the power when ur first checking it out before u put it up. They need to be evenly on a flat surface to work. Before we put them up we had it all connected and laid flat on the carpet but it wouldn't power on. As soon as we had it on the wall it's been fine ever since. They look great. These were a lot brighter than anticipated, and pretty easy to install. Pretty bright and clear, even in full daylight and room lights on. Comes with sticky pads for each panel. I bought 6 packs to make this design and just purchased another 8 packs to fill that wall. I didnt have a single issue with any piece whatsoever. I only have 2 complaints, both very minor. 1- The documentation tells you to change the Pixels from 8 to 112. This is actually the number of panels being used by the App. So I guess you can go up to 112? 2- If you want to place these 1 by 1, its pretty easy to do so with what is included. But I wanted to build this off the wall, then stick it to the wall in case I didnt like the design or spacing. It would be nice to have something to snap these together for structure. I just used a little duct tape to keep them together as I moved the panel in 2 pieces before mounting to the wall. ... show more
