VERY INFORMATIVE I ENJOY THE KNOWLEDGE FROM THIS BOOK

    • Not what I was looking for
I had a hard time understanding some of the techniques at beginning. Also, steps were not in depth enough for projects. I'm learning wet on wet, so his techniques didn't work that great for me. Overall, not the best book for a beginner.

    • Not just for beginners
I own a lot of art books, including oil painting books, and have gotten reasonably proficient at painting. Smart and succinct, this book covered some of the basics that no other text I own did, in particular brush strokes. I'm delighted that I bought it and may have to buy another for my brother. :-) ... show more

This guy knows how to write though and he really sticks to the subject and it’s very nice. It was very helpful for me and I do appreciate it a shocker for me from a Brit. I usually avoid British books like the plague. ... show more
