At the beginning they were too big for the size of my plants, so I would just put two or three in the bag for protection. Over time as my plants have gotten bigger, they have proved their worth and work even better for the plant as it grows. The bigger the plant, the better it works. Good protection and the best part is if some pest makes it inside, they usually can't get out and they bunch up at the top against the seam, trying to get out, so it's easy to crush them or spray them dead without getting stung or letting them loose to feast on another plant. Insects might get in, but they are never coming out! That has been especially helpful with lanternflies, because those evil insects jump and hop and get away from you. They ravage plants with ease. You will need to purchase some stakes with rounded edges to keep the bag off your plants so they can get enough sun and air, emphasis rounded edges. Anything with any type of edge will pierce the bag. They are not super strong in that way because they are built to let light and air in. They certainly will not protect against any determined animal with a sharp beak or claws, but interestingly birds, squirrels, raccoons and skunks stay away from the netting, even though I think they could easily rip a hole in it.

I bought these to protect my plants from grasshoppers, and they work great. The bags are durable but let air and water in and don't crunch down my plants. I piled some bark chips around the bottom opening to make it more secure. Have been using these a month and plants grew lots of new leaves! I was surprised how large these are, I have the largest on a 4 foot bushy lilac with room to spare. The bags seemed a bit too large for my newly planted berries, but I just pulled the bag up inside and over a tomato cage (see pic) to give my plants room. They do look like white sacks, but you could remove them for a party. Wish I would have found these earlier!

I bought these to protect my shrubs from deer nibbling and so far they have worked! I've had them on for about a month and I have more leaves on my shrubs than ever. They came in 3 sizes and all are pretty big. The drawstring holds them on well. I put stakes around my shrub first so that the bag doesn't weigh down my plants. The sunlight seems to get through well and rain hasn't been a problem. I may remove them this winter to prevent snow accumulation though.

I purchased these to keep the insects and squirrels away from our tomato plants. They work very well. No more lost tomatos to the squirrels. You have to have some tall sticks to hold them up off of the plants. I rated only 3 stars for durability because the netting sometimes doesn't support itself on the stick and the stick pokes through the top of the netting. Otherwise, a good purchase. I hope this helps others.

Product arrived quickly and was a great combination pack of sizes. The grasshoppers were demolishing my dahlia plants. Slipped one of these on over my fragile stems/blooms and pulled the drawstring. 4 days later....beautiful blooms untouched by bugs! The only downside is the string used for the drawstring closure. It's a little wimpy and easy to tangle. I will definitely order more in the future!

I know it says they come in 3 sizes, so I figured the 2 smaller sizes would work for my needs. I have 4 small blueberry bushes I wanted to protect. Well, I think I could put all 4 of the bushes in one of the biggest bags. Thankfully I can just kind of pile the extra at the bottoms of the plants and make it even harder for critters to get in, but it was kind of funny with how big the bags are. Seem to let in more light than the cheesecloth I was using. Also seem less prone to tangling in the branches. Both positives. But I'm not sure how much water actually penetrates. Seems to run off the tops of the bags. So you'll need to be sure to water from under the bags.
