I needed a container to keep an appetizer warm for a recent event. I heated this with hot water for several minutes , then emptied, dried and put my hot appetizer in it. The lid locks on for safe transport and the container kept the contents warm. It is a perfect addition to my kitchen. This bowl works very well to keep food warm when serving it. It is very comparable to one I bought at Pampered Chef for much more money. I have to admit I am afraid to put it in the microwave but it is a very nice serving dish.

I used to bring soup to a potluck. It was great that it was microwaveable but every time I have transported it there is a leak no matter how tight and level I get the lid. If this can be fixed it'd be 6 out if 5 stars in my opinion
