  • A good all purpose tool. NOT a hatchet for camping. It's for emergencies.
Color: Black
There are some valid gripes about this product. QC is an issue. While mine is sturdy as all get out (I broke bricks with no problem, pulled nails, all good), the blade is not just poorly ground. It is almost a joke. I will need to sharpen it with a file, as not only is the bevel uneven, the edge is actually folded in a part. That being said. It is a FANTASTIC general purpose tool! It is super light in the hand and has pretty much everything you need from an emergency blade. If you want it to go camping or building a fort, don't do it. You can, but it's an EMERGENCY TOOL! It will take longer. I have hatchets, tomahawks, norse axes, etc... If I go camping or know in advance I'm going into something serious, I will take my Cold Steel "Tactical Hawk" along with some other specialized steel. Four stars because I love the versatility and the FACT THAT I CAN CARRY A HATCHET IN MY CAR (this is a car escape tool, but try explaining your camping axe under the front seat 😂) One star removed because the blade needs retouching. It's a $60 axe and worth it if it fits what you ACTUALLY NEED! ... show more

  • Perfect for emergency kit
Color: Black
I found this to be well made product that fits my need perfectly. I bought one to put into my emergency preparations bag (bug out bag). Its small enough to fit nicely into my bag and has enough functionality to be a useful tool. After buying one for my bag, liked it so much I bought a second for my wife's bag. The handle is little awkward feeling and I am not sure that it would be comfortable to use as a daily use tool. But It is perfect for back tool to keep in your vehicle or emergency kit. ... show more

  • Great for camping
Color: Black
I used it immediately on a camping trip and it's great for chopping small firewood logs. Wear gloves because the plastic handles do transmit a fair amount of vibration to your hands. The nylon sheath is a great safety feature. I do wish it had better attachment capability. There's no belt loop or Molle attachment capability but I will figure something out. ... show more

  • The best multi-tool!!
Color: Black
The Lil Trucker tool is awesome! It clearly was made of high-quality materials and has proven to be very durable. I love the fact that I can bring it on a backpacking trip or day hike and know that I have enough capability to solve any problem that comes my way. The less you need to keep track of when outdoors the better. I also keep the lil trucker in my car at all times. Again, having such a versatile tool provides a lot of confidence in situations that are hard to prepare for. ... show more

  • poor quality control
Color: Black
Major issues first the edge on this thing is complete trash it's so dull that I doubt that it would cut anything the grind on the edge is so bad it's like a saw blade and there's burs like I've never seen before....cheap 5 dollar corner store/ flea market knives have better edge .... the handle is a bit awkward and I would really hate having to chop something with this without gloves the saw blade compartment leaves a large gap that digs into your fingers I can only imagine how painful they would be if I were to actually strike something ... show more

  • Nice tool for survival but....
Color: Black
The idea of this survival axe is great but i made the mistake of thinking they would send me the improved version that has a thicker hammer claw ( my version is prone to breaking) after watching others review theirs, Best bet is to not go crazy smashing cinder blocks but it was my fault for not looking close enough at pictures..... ... show more

  • Don't do it
Color: Black
I know it looks cool and useful in the photos. I know that hearing the new version is made in the US sounds appealing...but it's about as Chinese as it gets. The handle is super uncomfortable and digs into your hand, the grip bumps they added only make it worse, the knob for opening and closing the saw blade couldn't be cheaper feeling or more in the way of your hand, you have to take the handle completely apart to change blades, and the grind on the hatchet end was inexcusably bad. Whoever ground the edges has checked out of life completely and is barely hangin on. Thoughts and prayers go out to them. I can't stress enough how this is essentially a $15 item you'd buy from a case in a smoke shop. I even had to grind down the hammer end because the face had a rounded curve to it. Maybe that was to make prying out nails easier but...its a hammer. The face needs to be flat. You'll also never use this survival tool to tighten bolts. Ever. You'd look like an idiot even trying and lose all respect from every male role model in your life if they saw you do it. It'd be like having a screw driver attachment on a pizza tray and calling it versatile. I wish I'd listened to the overwhelming majority of people who warned against buying multi use survival tools like this. Buy a hatchet, buy a folding saw. Most hatchets can be flipped around and used as a hammer and a folding saw won't take up much extra room in your pack. You'll be way better off. ... show more

  • Good tool; blade not well-sharpened.
Color: Black
Can't give it five stars because the axe blade is not properly sharpened and finished. There are burrs along the entire edge of axe blade. We can sharpen it, but should not have to at this price ... it's new! Poor quality control by the manufacturer. Otherwise, this survival axe appears to be well-made and is as described. It does come with a nylon case for the blade head which is helpful. We bought it to carry in the car because we drive through rural areas and have witnessed several rollovers into a ditch. It makes you think not only about your potential situation, but the importance of having something handy to help others. ... show more
