  • Love this Crib!!!
I'm very pleased with the quality of this crib. This is a great addition to my daughter's nursery. The design is clean and contemporary. It was delivered to our door. We had to carry it up to her room which was a little bit of a hassle but it was easy to assemble the parts. I recommend this crib, you will not be disappointed! ... show more

  • Poor Product Experience
I posted a review on this product, the Mini Library, which I purchased on Amazon--an honest, detailed account of my poor experience with it, along with 3 other Oeuf products: the Classic Crib, dresser and hutch, along with my equally poor experience with Oeuf's customer service (see the review entitled Don't Buy This, for the Classic Crib in Walnut listing, by another who had a similar experience), came back to update it, only to find that all my Oeuf reviews had been deleted. Dozens of people found the reviews helpful, and a couple (who had written no other reviews, questionable), attacked my review and me personally, just for my honesty. (Which would make no sense unless they worked for the company, itself.) My review was thoughtful, appropriate and helped customers, and I was stunned that it was deleted. (Someone obviously got to Amazon.) Makes me rethink this entire site, and who is it serving--the customers or the companies. As for my experience with Oeuf furniture, there was shipping damage (fissures and cracks in the wood), we had to replace parts (the door and hinge on the library, a door on the hutch, and the entire left side piece of the dresser was cracked, lengthwise); there was also surprisingly a very strong and bothersome odor in all three products from the lacquer/finish used (yes, unexpected, considering company claims--which is why we bought it), and almost a year later, is still there, so it sits in our garage, gathering dust, "airing out." We have brought the items into her average sized bedroom on 3 different occasions (every 2-3 months) hoping it had finally aired out, and yet each time, they still have filled it with a pungent lacquer odor. We have tried air filters, keeping the windows open, zeolite, everything you can imagine, to dissipate the strong odor, and nothing has worked--except removing the items from the room. (Interestingly, each time, she was unable to nap when the furniture was in there--but as soon as we took it out, she was fine again. This is important information, to us.) At the end of the day, we just do not feel safe or comfortable with having it in her room because of the odor, so are going to sell it, which is very upsetting, considering our financial investment of thousands of dollars on these items. Thus, I cannot recommend this product. There are less expensive ones which in our experience, are well made and have absolutely no odor (DaVinci products, for example. DaVinci Kalani Mini Crib, White DaVinci has legitimate MSDS certification on their low/no VOC water-based finishes and product materials on their site, which Oeuf does not.) Oeuf's design is beautiful, but their materials are questionable, and in our family, health, well-being and personal comfort comes before design. To put it simply--nothing should smell for that long. Every other no/low VOC finished item we have ever owned either has no odor, or a very faint odor that dissipates within days to a couple weeks max. Here we are after a year, and no changes. Buyer beware and consider with care. Amazon--please keep this review up so that others can know the truth of an actual customer's experience, so that it might serve them in their decision making. Thank you. ... show more

  • Strong chemical smell
We bought the six drawer dresser to match the crib very very strong chemical smell I contacted the company they said air it out I had it out it’s been airing out for over a year very strong smell cannot use it had to donate that beautiful piece of furniture because it was making our family sick. The company was not much help FYI for anybody who’s chemically sensitive might not be the good product for you. We were able to get the smell off the crib but not the dresser even people that are not chemically sensitive couldn’t believe how strong the smell was. ... show more

  • little knees can get stuck
We used this crib up to a few months ago, until my son was 18M and had his knee stuck in between the slats. We could not release it and had to call 911. By the time they get to our home we were able to saw the side panel apart and release his knee, which was badly bruised. I called the Oeuf's CS, which by the way were very nice people and they told me they have not heard of a similar incident. They sent me the side panel free of charge, but I agree with CY's mom the gaps in between the slats should be narrower. We quit using the crib however for safety concerns. ... show more

  • Buyer Beware
Very disappointed with their product as the crib is not holding up. It's also extremely upsetting that their customer service is absolutely horrible - they basically ignore you. My advice do not purchase baby furniture from this company. Their advertising makes it look like their furniture is premier - it's not ... show more

  • Formaldehyde in the Particle Board
Nice design and appearance, But the particle board used on the crib has formaldehyde in it. I thought for sure with the ratings and since it was for a baby that safety would be a major concern, but it is not in this case. Formaldehyde is not something I want my child's crib made of since he bites the sides where the formaldehyde is located. I was very disappointed that this crib was made of something very toxic for my child. It is a very expensive crib and I didn't expect this. I would expect that the sides of the crib would be made of actual wood instead of particle board with formaldehyde in it. Several European countries restrict the use of formaldehyde, including the import of formaldehyde-treated products and embalming. Starting September 2007, the European Union banned the use of formaldehyde due to its carcinogenic properties as a biocide (including embalming) under the Biocidal Products Directive (98/8/EC).[22][23] Countries with a strong tradition of embalming corpses, such as Ireland and other colder-weather countries, have raised concerns. ... show more
