I was overjoyed when I found out my sister was purchasing this for me for my birthday. I am an absolute Harry Potter fanatic. But what is funny is that I had never even thought of the idea of Harry Potter coloring books, which is absurd! Okay, so here is my review, I will add pictures later. The cover of this book is beautiful and it gives off a good magical vibe with the gold and the stars. The paper seems the be of good quality but the pictures are printed on both sides so it would be hard to use any type of markers with it. I really enjoy the pictures included in the book. There is a review below mine that stated one page looks like a 3 year old drew it, which is kind of true, but that is only part of the picture. The entire picture takes up two pages and is of Xenophilius Lovegood falling back into his door at his home and the really odd pictures of the little poorly drawn creatures almost adds to it since he is not a normal type of wizard. There is also a picture of the dancing trolls with tutus and nipple piercings, which again is silly, but it is Barnabas the Barmy teaching them how to dance! The picture that the other person posted is not the whole picture again, it is semi closed and so you cannot see Barnabas. I enjoy the full color photos and concept art in the back of the book, it helps give me inspiration and I love to explain to my daughters who each person is. As of right now, the only reason I did not award this five stars is due to the Ravenclaw not having the correct animal. Which upsets me, because if you can include Barnabas the Barmy teaching trolls how to dance, why can you not double check to see if you have the correct animal with the correct houses. A quick Google search could have fixed that one. Anyway, I will post pictures and if my children ever give me a second to sit and relax I will get to really enjoy the book and finish the two pages I have started so far! ... show more

This was a gift to my wife. It is a young adult - adult coloring book. Probably not as useful for small children due to the very small detail work in the book. However that's what makes it a 5 star item - it gets its target audience and has images that are detailed, take time to complete, and are very in tune with images from the movies, illustrations from the books, and descriptions from the text of the book (all info as-per my wife). It meets her expectations, and for 10 dollars, the value is there due to the time to complete a page and the number of pages. The paper is thicker than traditional coloring books for children and lends itself to the coloring. You do not imprint on pages below unless you really press hard on the page. My wife doesn't remove pages from the book but she indicated it would be easy to do without hurting the binding of the book. However she said it did not have perforations to assist in page removal. Again though, she insisted that for an adult coloring book it would not be a desirable trait. Overall she is very happy with this gift and the quality of the product. ... show more
