  • Great socket holders. Reputation damaged by reviews
Color: Black/Green
These socket holders work very well and look really nice. In the reviews you’ll notice the negative comments mention that their sockets don’t fit. That’s true, A few of my sockets didn’t fit either, but I don’t believe it’s the socket holders, but the sockets themselves. The sockets that didn’t fit, all didn’t fit in the same way. The skinny part of the socket holder didn’t fit through the thru hole of the socket. The thru hole of the socket is not a critical part of the socket, and therefore will probably very in size. I drilled the thru hole of my sockets just a hair bigger and they fit on the holders just fine. These are great looking holders and I’d recommend them to anybody, and offer them the same solution as well. ... show more

  • Decent for the home garage.
Color: Red and Black
Decent set. To bad the smaller end doesn’t actually fit sockets and the big end doesn’t go big enough

  • Great for the price
Color: Black/Green
I ordered these without reading or really paying attention to the pictures but those 1/2 rails aren't the same length. Kinda bother some but besides that they look freakin great and have yet to break or anything. Update, Ive had these for a couple months now and the only complaint is that a little bit ago I was using brake clean on one of my tools to clean them up and accidentally oversprayed a little on the rails and it discolored them pretty badly. But then again these are made to hold tools. Tools are made to be use... if you use them enough they are bound to get dirty or a bit messed up. For the idiots who say they dont fit on the rails, for god sakes you idiots are supposed to put the sockets upside down as in the hex part, or the part that goes on the bolt downwards. They show them on the picture, I've tested every socket I have, gearwrench, duralast, matco, snap on, tekton, oem tools, sunex, craftsman(new & old) and they all fit... upside down. Yes I will agree with some people that the pegs are too thick for some of the 1/4 sockets. But being we have sockets and we want socket holders also usually implies we have drills.... just drill out the socket a tiny bit and problem solved. For the price and the fact that I haven't broke any peg even after dropping my impact guns on the pegs, I would recommend them. ... show more

  • Correct spaces will not fit several sockets.
Color: Black/Green
Starting with a clean slate after a devastating tornado, I bought a huge Quinn 428pc “master tech” tool set to build off of. At first I thought it was ideal that the tools came in plastic bags since I was filling out a new tool cart and didn’t need a bunch of blow-molded cases, but at least most cases can be turned into trays for a tool drawer. I badly needed organizers but I quickly realized that I could spend as much organizing sockets and wrenches as I did on the tools themselves. Hesitant to spend much on socket organizers, I tried cheap socket rails instead. What a nightmare! Next, I found a good deal on a bunch of magnetic socket organizers (flea market find) but they ended up being a huge waste of space with no good way to fit the cart. I gave up on the tool cart and upgraded to a 61” workbench tool chest but it was still hard to fit/arrange all my magnetic organizers… and they were still a waste of space. Finally, I broke down and got the knock-off U.S. General version of these plastic peg-style organizers… only to find that I could get the real OEM Tools brand for significantly less on Amazon. This gave me the opportunity to compare before returning the knock-offs to Harbor Freight. While waiting for the OEM Tools organizers I went ahead and loaded up the US General trays and found that a few sockets don’t fit well. The hole through the socket is simply smaller than the peg, though the tapered shape of the peg allows some to seat half way. Yes, I am installing them correctly, hex side down, which might not be obvious. Now, I saw similar complaints in the OEM brand Amazon reviews so I didn’t expect them to eliminate or improve fitment issues. I started moving the 1/4” drive SAE sockets because one socket (9/16” deep well) didn’t fit the USGeneral… but it fits the OEM even worse since the socket sits higher off the peg. Two more no longer fit at all (3/16” deep and 7/32” deep). I see where some people drill out their sockets but I think I’d much rather file the plastic peg. The OEM pegs are simply bigger than they are for the same size on the USGen organizer tray. Obviously, you can only make the peg diameter so small before they are too thin and fragile. It seems USGen fits more sockets, perhaps sacrificing a bit of durability. OEM’s 3/4” drive SAE tray fit all the same sockets as the USGen did but the two that didn’t fit either sit slightly better (lower) on the USGen. The 1/2” drive SAE sockets all transferred over with no additional fitment issues. My only issue with the metric stuff was 3/4” drive where two of the sockets only fit USGen (10mm deep and 12mm deep). The space savings over my magnetic organizers is tremendous. The cost saving over US General is enough that I can tolerate a few more sockets that don’t fit. Knowing that I would’ve just 3D printed something before the tornado ruined my workshop made spending the money on plastic a tough pill to swallow… but the first step to getting the workshop going again is tooling up. Maybe now I can get some 3D printers rolling again. Another difference: US General trays are slightly longer than the OEM Tools trays. ... show more

I haven’t beat them up at all… been rather gentle with them, but they’re holding up. Worth the price to reorganize my toolbox.
