Compact & sturdy, parts clearly labeled and arrived in good condition. Assembly instructions very adequate, hole placement on parts key to putting together in correct position. Even though they recommend 2 people, I don't have that option but if an 84 yr old female can assemble this in less than 2 hours, I think anyone can do it. The extra time was caused by not paying REALLY good attention to hole positioning on all the pieces, fortunately caught very early on. Envisioning it as a finished desk helps figure that out. In general, no chemical odor but fabric side bag had odd smell which I am assuming will diminish with time. Definitely recommend.

This ODK L Shaped Desk with Storage Bag is a nice little desk if you have a small space. It is best put together in the room where you are going to use it. My hubby did it in about 40 minutes and did not have any problems except the directions were not always perfectly clear about the orientation of the different pieces. It all worked out though and it seems to be a pretty sturdy desk. All parts were present and I like the pouch that hangs on the side for holding items as well as the lower shelf. Of course, the wood is not solid wood but some sort of laminate over particle board but it looks pretty good. Nice desk for the price!

My first desk I bought for college I think was less than $50 in 1985. However, it was very small and totally built in particle board. They were practically worthless, very generic and would end up falling apart within a year. That was so because the particle board sides would be in contact with the floor and humidity is its number 1 enemy. Obviously we not only have come a long way in terms of quality and durability, but also in keeping the cost relatively low. The integration of metal frames, even if thin, with the particle board tops (which by the way resemble the texture of real wood grain in a beautiful black finish) certainly makes this desk a longer lasting one. With dimensions 50" x 43.3", this would easily fit in a corner and still have a decent size working surface. And the price is really a bargain! Great for galère and college students as well. Very easy to assemble and move around.

This fits perfect in tight spaces and has lots of empty room under the desk for storage bins and even a mini fridge fits perfectly under it. Also fits a microwave on it too. My son uses it for his small room and gaming area. And you can put it together 2 different ways. Super easy to follow instructions and put together. I did it myself in under 30 mins easy. FYI put together in the room you want it, its hard to move thru the house and around corners after its together. The white wood for the desk is real nice with white grains in it. And the wood is strong. The rest is metal. Desk is very strudy and strong, can hold alot.

L-shaped desks are great for small spaces and even in a large room, it is compact and functional to place office related items (including computer screens and printers) on the desktops and below them. The wood on this desk is a light grey oak fiberboard, and is very sturdy, and the entire desk is very easy to assemble. The height is also adjustable. It also comes with foot pads to place other devices on, and a hanging multi-pocket organizer. Great value for the price.
