Use anywhere you have a few crumbs, eraser shavings, tiny dry things used in crafts. I tested it tonight. It works very well with two AA batteries and had plenty of suction for small things and then just dumped the little things in the trash when done. It even came with a little cleaning brush that I didn't use yet. I don't know how long the batteries will last. This is wonderful. No need to pull out a dust buster. I wonder if I should have bought the rechargeable one. I'll soon find out. I thought I had. Read. Update: Died after almost 6 mos. No particular reason. New batteries didn't work. Too bad. Really liked it. I may buy another for the price and hope it lasts longer. Update: Bought another and the original started working again. Lucky me. I have two now. If you are looking for a small handheld device to clean up crumbs and small tabletop debris this is it! I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works at picking up crumbs and crumb size messes. It's definitely a step up from the old tabletop hand rollers that worked to some degree but would spread a lot of the crumbs around rather than pick them up. I have a white plastic spinner board with 1" sides all around it. When I dump out a new puzzle it is hard to get the puzzle dust off the board because of the sides.
