I gave 4 stars only because the package must include a Nozzle, Batteries, and a Crevice tool, but it w/o a nozzle and batteries, I have only a cleaning brush (if it's a Crevice tool). Anyway, I'm not returning this device. It works fast and perfectly cleans the desktop. The bottom cover opens easily just pull down the cover. To insert new/replace batteries you need to open the top cover, push the side button, and pull up the cover. It's not easily opening but it will. Pay attention to batteries +/- direction. We bought this to help with coffee grounds in the coffee area of our kitchen. It worked exceptionally well for a few weeks but is now far less effective. We tried charging it in case it was just losing power, no luck. A great product in theory!

It’s a light weight plastic so care needs to be taken with it, but not really an issue for an office desk. At first I thought the suction was weak, but it did pick up all the desk particles.
