I am a Network Engineer with a great deal of experience in the field. Canned air runs up bills in short order. This will help free you from buying compressed air. I have two other dust blowers that do not blow the dust, and are hence useless, that prompted me to be careful in selecting this one. This does what other air dusters do not. It removes dust well. Very powerful air stream that can clean the dirt out of anything. The only dust it can't clean is the really fine particulate dust that sometimes clings to fans, but no air treatment will remove that gluey fine dust that just will not blow off. For that, there is only alcohol and a rag. However, if you do regular preventative maintenance and keep the dust blown off, like by cleaning your gear every 6 months, or at the minimum once a year, you will NOT have that problem. I use it for all IT gear I come across, and this works excellently. This is the only device that lives up to the promise I have come across. It is small, easy to use, and is well designed and well made. It is a pleasure to use, because it works. It uses AC, so it has excellent battery life, because it doesn't have any.

I previously got one of those battery powered, portable electric air dusters, and while they were convenient to have in smaller spaces or on the go, they just lacked the power to really get the job done. Plus, once their batteries eventually degrade, their output only drops further. The AirTex electric dusters have none of those problems. Of course you lose the portability factor, but I think it's absolutely worth it for the sheer power, longevity, and durability you get. Toss in the fact that the Type 6 actually as an ESD protected housing, it's much more reassuring to use on sensitive electronics. There's only one switch with two speeds. Toggle up for low, toggle down for high. But even on low, this thing pumps out a loooot of air. There's a good variety of included nozzles that are quick and easy to twist on or off as needed. The narrower tipped nozzles are especially great for focusing the air when you need a real powerful gust, but the variety of attachments make the duster versatile for all kinds of things. It blows canned air out of the water by far, and is much more environmentally friendly and sustainable. Do note that while you're dusting, the intake filter on the underside of the unit as sucking up that same dusty air, so you'll want to pause your cleaning now and again just to glance at the filter to see if it needs a quick brush off and wipe down. The filter is technically washable, but I've found it much easier to just wipe off the dust when it cakes up enough. That way I can just continue cleaning as needed, instead of having to wait for the filter to dry. Overall, I'd highly recommend getting an electric air duster. It comes in handy in more ways than you'd think, and it's much better than the disposable cans.

Works very well. More forceful than I expected. Perhaps not as intensely concentrated on a fine spot as out of the tiny plastic tube of a spray can of compressed gas, but for most cleaning and dusting applications, it is more than satisfactory. With the variety of nozzle attachments, and the two speed capability, it will meet or exceed any requirements. Plus, being a plug into AC power device, it will work much longer than even a case of 10 oz. cans of gas, without the loss of pressure or freeze up associated with them.

SUMMARY: A great alternative for compressed air cans, albeit not a 1:1 replacement. This Type 6 is a powerful and capable blower with lots of attachments. While I havenโt compared this to the competition, I am happy with this purchase and can recommend it. PROS + Powerful motor. With two speed settings this feels like a really powerful blower. When I aimed it at my skin you could literally see the impact on the flesh. When I aimed it at items on my counter, they flew off. + A good size and weight. Itโs not too heavy or large, so it should be portable enough to use as you need. + About the same cost as two packages of compressed air cans, but without the extra waste. + Lots of attachments. I doubt Iโll put most to use, but thereโs 6 different ones to choose from. Thereโs also 3 brushes to help agitate any areas with stubborn dirt. + The motor turns off when you release the switch. Some may not like this but I prefer it this way. + The filter is easily removable and cleanable. CONS (no deal breakers) - Unfortunately the cord angle makes it sit a bit awkward when on a table. - The drawstring bag doesnโt have enough room for the Blower and the accessories. I just use it for the accessories and keep the blower separate. - Itโs louder than compressed air by a long shot. - As others have noted, it will get mildly hot after prolonged use. Just be mindful to let the trigger go after a few moments and it will be fine. In contrast, compressed air cans get cold when you use them. - While this machine doesnโt need a manual per se, I was disappointed by the lack of details in the manual itself. For instance, what is the difference between each of the attachments and a use case for each? Note: Iโve only had this item for a day, so I cannot attest to its longevity. If I experience any issues in the next two years Iโll be sure to update my review accordingly.

For the money, it works better than expected; slightly less than my datavac but those now go for double what this one sells for. I do wish it had a flexible nozzle with a small hole output for better control in tight spaces and that the storage bag was a bit bigger. I cleaned a rather dirty PC with this today, it did well. Not sure about changing the filter in the future, it will eventually need cleaned if I use this often. For the money, I'd recommend this over canned air if someone was the go to person for the family for PC maintenance; not sure if I'd use it in a busy shop. I have used this for a few projects and this duster is pretty powerful. It can over heat if you don't use it in controlled bursts, but if you use it as one would use a can of air, you'll have no problems. The included brushes are great and the tips add extra versatility over canned air. It's definitely worth your money.

I haven't cleaned my PC in 8 years so it had a lot of dust. This was able to get into the crevices and clean it very well. It's quite loud so I recommend using it outside, the duster lasted a long time even in the heat. It was quite compact so it allowed me to carry it outside easily. Overall I would recommend to others.
