I like the classic style and light weight. They are all one texture and don't have any metal embellishments to catch and snag my long hair. In the mornings I drive directly east into the sun; the return is opposite but the sun is just as bright going west at 5 pm. The polarized XXL lenses protect my field of view, knock down the glare, and although these aren't a wrap-around style, because they are XXL much of my peripheral view is also clear and glare-free. I know there is value in quality design and materials, but I think much of what you're paying for is the name and good memories tied to wearing your favorite brand. I'll enjoy wearing these because they look nice and do a good job with what I need them to do, but I may share them with my brother next time I visit because he can appreciate expensive brands, will take care of them, and can afford to replace them if necessary. ... show more

I have known of the Oakley brand for decades and I have always regarded them as creating high quality sunglasses, especially for sport and outdoor activity. I personally appreciate that they focus primarily on one product category and do it extremely well. The Holbrook XXL sunglasses are a perfect example of this. They are very lightweight but seem robust. If I were to drop them I doubt there would be any or much damage to them. They are very comfortable to wear and fit me perfectly. I have a fairly large head and its challenging for me to find glasses or sunglasses that fit over my ears fully and are wide enough for my face. I love the design and think these look slick. It has been sunny in the PNW and wearing these has been a great experience. They do a mighty fine job of protecting my eyes from the sun. I will add that the cloth protective case is included but for the cost I think a sturdier hard case would have been a nicer addition. ... show more

At time of my review these are on sale just under $180 from an initial price of just under $225. I gave these 5 stars for their quality and style. Nothing short of Oakley standards. The lenses are really great too. Keep everything crisp and clear while keeping sunlight out. Usually for a price of over $200 for sunglasses I’d dock a star but these are just so comfortable and fit my face really well. I don’t have an overly wide face or anything but a lot of glasses come to small still. These are just right, not overly huge but not small. Especially on sale an easy 5/5. At full price I’d say 4.6/5 not enough to dock a star. Do wish it came with a hard case for the price but it’s not the end of the world. ... show more

They came crooked. This happens often when you can’t physically see your items in the store. The ear rest when the glasses are set on the table are off. One is clearly higher than the other. These won’t get much use. Not a great choice.

Oakley is known for high quality sunglasses and this pair doesn’t disappoint. I can tell they’re built very well. I hate other brands because they don’t sit even when I wear them, but this pair sits perfectly even and I love it. They’re light and polarized so I like wearing them specially when I go fishing. Comes with a soft case. Very stylish. The reason I’m giving four star is because I feel that they’re a little on the bigger side… I’m 5’10” and my face is not that large but I still love them. ... show more
