It seems to me that $213 sunglasses could be made in America. And for a long time Oakleys were all Made in America. Now they use more global parts and assembly. This Amazon page states "Made in America or Imported". C'mon people, it's not that hard to put the country of origin. These are authentic Oakley's (there are a lot of knock-offs out there), as they are sold directly by Oakley (through Amazon). The shades fit my larger head just fine, and offer good sun protection, including the polarization on the lenses. I've never been a sunglasses person, but these are nice enough that I am able to wear them when absolutely required (like out fishing on the ocean). I trust the durability compared to many other brands, mostly due to the name recognition of Oakley. Are they worth $213? I would never spend this much money on a set of sunglasses, but since I got these for free through the Amazon Vine program, I am very happy with the quality and functionality. ... show more

These Oakley sunglasses are lightweight. The prism lenses brighten everything for clarity in an amber tone. These have proven to be of good quality and durable so far. They grip my head adequately so they do not slide around or fall off my nose. The lenses are a good style to adequately cover my eyes, but not my whole face. I usually wear these only when I am driving, but they don't hurt my temples and seem to provide hours of comfort. They come with an Oakley bag for storage and for cleaning the lenses. ... show more

I'm a fan of this brand and would like to love these but I think this review should lay out the pros and the cons and let you make up your mind. The style and color are great, and they’re not polarized, which, for my son, is a plus because you can look at your phone with a screen protector and not have a strobing effect. They mention these are steel frames but the steel is covered by “injection-molded thermoplastic O-Matter" so you dont see the steel. They’re very lightweight; so light that they feel like a much less expensive product. These are made in the USA, which is a plus. The glasses do not come in a case for the glasses, just a bag that doubles as a cleaning cloth. They are packaged in a very lightweight box and the box is a QR code that leads to a missing Google page. Fashion is a whole different world. These glasses are about half the price of other of this brand's glasses. They are still pricey for sunglasses. but if you like the look, want to wear this name brand, and if you can afford them, then there’s nothing stopping you from loving these. ... show more

I have a few pairs of Oakley sunglasses now and, though they probably are a bit costly for what they are, I always am quite happy with them. These are a bit more understated as far as Oakleys go, and there's nothing wrong with that (some of their models are a bit too "out there" for me). They fit my moderately large head comfortably and have a "standard" shape that has some nice sharp angles around the lens to add a bit more visual interest. They're lightweight and have good medium-intensity light blocking (not the strongest I've ever used, but good for indoor/outdoor use). And like all Oakleys, they have the signature straight arms instead of ear hooks, which I'm always surprised to find don't slip down my face (most glasses do). The material is where the value for money of these comes into question. It's by no means bad, and though I didn't do any crazy tests, the glasses felt fairly durable and scratch resistant. But holding them is a very "it's just plastic" experience. So without the brand recognition, I think it would be difficult to tell the difference between these and a fair cheaper pair of no-name plastic sunglasses. Again, they aren't low quality, but I'm not sure they feel like they justify their price (most designer frames don't). However, I think most people looking at Oakley sunglasses know what they're getting into, cost-wise, and as long long as they appeal to you, I can see no reason not to recommend this specific pair! ... show more

These frames have a new interesting look that seems to spawn from their Holbrook/Sliver models. These frames are a bit bigger and flashier. The quality seems "ok" for lightweight plastic frames. As a long time Oakley user, i can already see that these are fragile frames. Ive had lots of Oakley break accidently, but what keeps me coming back are their lens quality. The lens i chose are the black Prism lenses which i am a fan of. The clarity and contrast are excellent as always. Unfortunately, they lack polarization, but Prism lenses really dont need them. They block out glare and i actually prefer to not have polarized lenses so i can use my phone for work. The matte black frames are also easy to clean and wipe off sweat and grime. The matte finish is my preferred sunglasses frame. I have several black/grey Prism lenses and they seem to hold up better to scratches than the mirrored "Iridium" lenses. ... show more
