  • I love this back pack
Originally bought as my everyday carry backpack when I was using my E-bike to commute to work. This back pack is -big- and can carry a lot of stuff, it's durable (survived more than a few crashes on the bike and has held up fantastically.) Has multiple padded and or hard case pockets and punches to protect your gear and electronics. One of the pouches is specifically for sunglasses, though I find it holds a controller perfectly. Has a hardcase pouch that fits a 17” laptop. Since I've been work at home for the last 5 years, I now use this as my go to bag for traveling. I was originally worried, but even filled to the brim it'll still fit in the overhead compartment (wouldn't try to put this under your seat anywhere near full though). Quality bag! ... show more

  • Great Urban Crossover Pack, that Could Be Used as a Daypack.
Size: One Size Color: Black
I Would give the backpack 4.6 stars. I am replacing a 10 year old Jansport Odyssey 38. straps started to fray and elastic was loosing it. The new model of the 38 has been scaled way back and no longer would fit my needs. I wanted a backpack I could use for work, put under the airplane seat and use as a daypack for hiking. It is 35 liters, and is wider than my Odyssey, but the Odyssey achieved 38 liters by bulging out 12". The semi stiff back panel is flexible enough to cram under an airplane seat. PROS Versatile, with many pockets. Like the semi hard back and covers on upper center, and lower side zippered pockets. Bottom zippered compartment is perfect for my raincoat, I always have it and it is out of the way. Front center compartment has the small inner pockets for pens, calculator, etc. In part makes this an urban crossover pack which I wanted. Inner main compartment is huge, with another unzippered pouch inside which is great for my electronics. Back zippered pouch easily handles my 15.6" laptop and provides protection, it has another sleeve in it too. Upper "Star Wars Looking" hardened zippered compartment is felt lined, great for glasses or headphones. Small zippered pouches on upper sides are for the misc stuff CONS Would have liked more padding on the shoulder straps, but OK Waste strap could have been more padded, and would have been good to have a place to tuck it away. I wrapped mine around the front and clipped them together. There is no mesh bottle holder. That being said I put my 750ml Camelback in the side zippered compartment and it disappears, they are that big. I can easily fit a 1 liter in them. Zippers are very stiff and have to have the material lined up to operate smoothly. I need to lubricate them somehow, I haven't done that yet. I wish the big compartment had 2 zippers. Also they zip from the back to the front, they should zip the other direction, so things don't fall out if you forget to zip all the way. 2 zippers would be better. This way the water bottle would be an easy grab and then the mesh pocket would not be needed. OVERALL 4.6 stars, mostly due to the shoulder padding and the zippers. I have gotten many compliments on the backpack. Pricey, yes, but some of the features I would find are top quality like my Gregory Baltoro 70. I haven't used it as a daypack, but it will be fine. Construction is good. I will need to pick up a rain fly for it, it is not waterproof. ... show more

  • The Ultimate High-end Bag
I had to review this bag! This bag is big! I added some purple and blue D-rings (I think that's what you call them) to add to the look of the Oakley Big Kitchen Sink Bag. I had the bag for a few days and noticed there was an entire back compartment (reinforced) to store laptop, tablets. It's big but not so big I would be afraid to take it on a plane, having said that, it couldn't be any bigger. The way the bag is engineered makes it very easy to carry around your back. It's totally worth the price. These things are extremely hard to find. There was only 2 YouTube videos on the bag and neither were this color. The smaller Kitchen Sink Bag would not be big enough for me. I hope this bag lasts 10 years, it feels as if it could last longer. Last thing, it's big but I could wear it around my back or shoulder all day. I don't know how they engineered this bag to make it so comfortable to wear being that it is a larger bag. If your needing a bigger backpack but not a hiking backpack then go with this one (Big Kitchen Sink). I don't the smaller bag would work. ... show more

  • Sturdy, large, great quality!

Husband loves. We haven't had any issues, it's a great backpack.

  • The bag is awesome. Seems extremely durable
The bag is awesome. Seems extremely durable, definitely large enough and nice amount of pockets. Only thing I was not crazy about was when you open the back pack I did not like how you don't have open space like a normal back pack. You have almost like a bag inside the back pack which comes up almost like I would describe like a drawstring and I feel when placing stuff in the back pack it limits your ability to adjust and move things in the bag with your arms like with other back packs. Best way for me to describe that. ... show more

  • Massive backpack, great storage capability.
Size: One Size Color: Herb
I do a lot of travel. I upgraded to the Big Kitchen Sink in the last year since I have to carry multiple lap tops, a spare portable monitor etc for work. By the time i get all my tech gear in my old packs I would be out of space for snacks, a hat or pull over for on the plane. This thing holds a ton of stuff. I was able to take 2 laptops , portable monitor, two sweatshirts, snacks, hat, sunglasses, 2 powers supplies, multiple headphones and more all for one trip. Love all the various compartments. Its stylish and durable material. With all the swag I have come to expect from Oakley. ... show more

  • Poor manufacturing quality
Size: One Size Color: Black
I had the original kitchen sink for years and loved it so I thought I would try the big kitchen sink, expecting it to be the same quality. I have now had two that experienced the same failure, both in under 2 weeks. The handle at the top of the pack pulls the fabric stitching out (attached picture). The average weight of the pack with what I carry every day is probably right around 25lb. I carried the same items in the original kitchen sink, sometimes more on a longer motorcycle trip, and it never experienced these issues. The build quality has gone down, but at least I ordered it through Amazon so the return process is simple. Update: gone through 3 of these backpacks and every single one has had the same failure. The most recent one lasted almost a year. ... show more

  • Great bag make it easy to stay organized!
Size: One Size Color: Black
Need a backpack for a 17 inch laptop? This is it. Well built with plenty of pockets. Smaller pockets for quick access. I got it on sale but even a full price it's great!
