I decided to give these boots a try for wear in Garrison as the “office shoes” and they do well enough for that function. That said, I wouldn’t take them anywhere else, not even on a short ruck March. A trending theme among companies these days has been to set their pricing around $150 for a pair of their boots, regardless of build quality or design intent. Since Oakley is no stranger to this sales tactic, I see no shame in telling you that your money is better spent on a pair of Garmont T8s. For the same price, you get a Vibram outsole, quality laces, and excellent ankle support. My last pair of Garmont boots lasted me 4 years through two deployments. I wouldn’t trust these Oakley’s on a simple field problem.

About to buy my third pair of these. They are by far the best *lightweight* boots I have found in 13 years of wearing different boots for the Army, and I definitely think they are better than any heavyweight boot I've owned, though that is personal preference. If you prefer lightweight boots, look no further. The outsoles provide some moderate flex (like a running shoe) which makes them very comfortable to run and move quickly in. This does make the outsoles a bit soft (which causes them to be less durable) but the upper construction is second to none. My approximately 4 year old pair which has seen heavy field use still has no frayed or broken stitching or worn leather. The boots themselves still look fine, though the outsole eventually wore through, making them unserviceable, which is why I'm replacing them. They are breathable and and dry quickly. I can't speak to their performance in cold temps however - they might be a bit cold for winter field use in cold regions. Other small problems: I recommend replacing the insoles, which are probably the weakest feature of the boot, but it's generally a good idea to chuck the insoles that come with boots to get an insole that fits your foot anyway. The laces tend to slip out of my boot somewhat frequently but eh, not a big deal.

The boots are great. These boots are the best boots I’ve had in the military, if you want to move quickly. The only downfall of these ultra lightweight boots are the soles. The soles are absolute murder on your feet if you are standing for long periods of time. You can run all day in these boots, but say goodbye to your feet if you stand a post. Get yourself some insoles from some old running shoes, or something to provide cushion. If you buy new insoles, be sure to buy boots that are a half size bigger, so your boots aren’t too tight.

These are very light boots and comfortable. You won't even need to break them in as my second time using them was with a 12 mile ruck and my feet were completely fine. Highly recommend purchasing these boots. They are good in the field, they are good in garrison, and if you're non-military looking for some comfortable nice hiking boots, I would recommend. Best boots I've ever worn.

I bought these to use while hiking in the desert/mountainous area's... and they do a fantastic job! Lightweight, but supportive along with good traction. The fit was actually one of the best ever with this style of boots... they said they were true to size and they are not kidding. The fit impressed the heck out of me, I honestly expected to maybe have to exchange at least once but these fit PERFECT. *disclaimer - as with almost all boots of this style, they DO need to break in a bit... so give them a bit of time.. but I can say honestly, these break in far better than most other boots of this style I have purchased.

I ordered these boots to be used for OCS as I knew I would be running in boots a lot. After receiving the boots about a week ago, I have been wearing them every day to make sure they were good for daily use as well as running. Immediately they felt comfortable and it took almost no time for them to be broken in. My first run wearing these boots went very well but the only thing I had a slight issue with was that the soles are thin and not very cushioned. Other than that, these boots are extremely comfortable and lightweight and have met all my expectations!

These are my favorite boots over my past 18 years. This is my fourth pair, third in coyote. They are one of the lowest price boots of high quality that I have found. The siles do wear out fairly quick as they are light rubber and foam, and there is no shank so if you step on something sharp it is going through to your foot. The eyelets on the fore foot are just holes in the leather so if the leather dries out (Atropia) the laces can rip through. All in all great boots, will buy again if these wear out before retirement.

These are the lightest boot that still complie with army regulations. This is great for me on ruck marches, but you can twist your ankles more from the lesser support. However, these shoes are super comfortable, and I wore them on a 4 mile ruck the first day I had them and they didn't even give me red spots, much less blisters. The biggest downside would be there water resistance, which is negligible, but others these are my favorite boots and far outweigh skme BCT standard boots I had previously.
